Alright, here's one I've been thinking of lately: Silver Orion Race: Pegasus Gender: Stallion Age: Young Adult age (i.e. the general age of the mane six) Eye color: Blue Coat color: White Mane color: Silver History: Silver Orion is a normal pegasus pony whose talent is stargazing, hence his constellation cutie mark. Although he is generally taken as being a normal pony, the only quality he has which could be considered different is the fact that he insists that he is an acquaintance of Phoebe, a "Night Mare" who is allegedly capable of communicating to him via his mind through words and imagery. Although this sounds very paranoid-schizophrenic, Silver Orion is otherwise completely, 100% psychologically healthy - which leads many of those who know him to think he is only kidding about the whole "Phoebe" phenomenon, whereas others think that he may be telling the truth. Nevertheless, he unwaveringly insists that she is real. In lighter situations (light roleplays), this all only leads to some comical dark humor - but in darker ones (dark roleplays), it is not uncommon for Silver to carry out Phoebe's will. It is not uncommon for Silver Orion to be a part of social events, as he enjoys being with other ponies, and having fun with other ponies. The social events Silver attends often have to do with some of his hobbies. Although there are not any real social events for it around him, he does, not surprisingly, have a knack for Equestrian astrology. Personality: - Quirky. If one word could sum up his character, it would be this one. - Is ironically very social and is capable of holding a decent and casual conversation. Nopony has ever seen him be socially awkward or anxious. Ever. - Seems to be a hybrid of an extrovert and an introvert. - Usually very calm. The term "cool as a cucumber" comes to mind. - Sleepy. It is not uncommon to see Silver appear to be tired at times because of how late he stays up on his stargazing expeditions. Phoebe (Silver Orion's partner) Race: Allegedly, a "Night Mare" Gender: Mare Age: Allegedly, old enough to have seen Discord rule Equestria years ago. Eye color: Allegedly, glowing red. Coat color: Allegedly, very dark grey - like coal. Mane color: Allegedly, glowing red. Phoebe never appears. Ever. It is Silver Orion who claims that she exists, and that he and she are acquaintances by sheer luck. Silver claims that others have seen Phoebe before, but do not wish to reveal their knowledge of her on account of them wanting to have nothing to do with her. Silver Orion's description of Phoebe is so far fetched - so difficult to believe - that it leads many ponies to doubt that she really exists at all. Silver Orion's description of her is as follows: Her alleged history: Phoebe was the original leader of Equestria before Luna and Celestia. She wanted to retain the value of the elements of harmony within Equestria, but she could not control her subjects, and her subjects eventually went into anarchy altogether. Repulsed by their response to her lead, Phoebe left them to destroy themselves. However, when Celestia and Luna rose to take control of Equestria, Phoebe was agitated and claimed that she was the true ruler of Equestria, and that they had no place in crowning themselves the rulers of Equestria without her consent; in contrast, Celestia and Luna claimed that Phoebe stepped down from ruling Equestria the day she left rulership of Equestria altogether, and because of this, there was no ruler to begin with anyway, and thus, it was acceptable for them both to take the lead of Equestria on account of this. Tensions worsened, and when Luna became Nightmare Moon, she went to Phoebe to for help in stopping Celestia. Phoebe begrudgingly agreed and showed Luna how to enter the minds of ponies in their dreams, a tactic which Luna uses to this day - not to harm ponies like Phoebe, but to strengthen them instead. To this day, Phoebe generally despises ponies and only sees them as those who "desecrated harmony" years ago - even shamelessly referring to them as animals. If she ever reveals herself to anypony, it is rarely ever her true self; because she refuses to physically be in the presence of ponies, she prefers appearing to them as an illusion - most of the time, she only appears as an innocent looking little filly, however, she does appear as an illusion of what she truly looks like if she is seriously agitated by the pony she is appearing to. Because of her preconceived hatred of ponydom, the reason why Phoebe and Silver Orion somehow got along is unknown. Even more uncertain is that if Phoebe truly does exist, then where are her whereabouts? According to Silver Orion, Phoebe cannot be too far away in order to manipulate other ponies minds... Her alleged personality: - surprisingly tender to her friends and allies; just as surprisingly ruthless and cruel to her enemies. - ironically strong value for the elements of harmony for a character who is generally an antagonist. - shows tremendous mercy to her friends and allies; shows tremendous mercilessness to her enemies. - thinks very highly of herself and very less of others; this tends to be her undoing in most cases. - has intelligence enough to rival Celestia's; however, her high regard for herself clouds her judgement very, very, very often; this usually makes her look about as intelligent as an angry bull in a rodeo.

Anyway, here's an oc I've had for a while: Puck Race: Pegasus Gender: Stallion Age: Young Adult (i.e. about the average age of the mane 6) Eye color: Yellow Coat color: Burnt Orange Mane color: Lime Green Description: Puck is a pegasus pony whose claim to fame is being "the only magic pegasus". Puck can successfully fool other ponies into believing that he is capable of performing real magic by using magic trick techniques which he had discovered in an old tome used by pegasus ponies before Celestia and Luna's reign in Equestria - a tome which pegasus ponies recorded all they knew of the most convincing magic tricks in order to dissuade unicorn ponies from using real magic on them in a battle. Puck found the old book in, of all places, the Ponyville library; after stealing it, he has kept it to himself ever since. Yes, Puck stole a book from a library - but that is only a fraction of everything else he has accomplished. Puck's cutie mark is a jester's rod, and rightfully so, because his special talent is mischief. Puck is an expert in tricks, shenanigans, and, his favorite, instigation. Making other ponies angry is Puck's joy in life. Unfortunately, Puck's friends are fairly limited because of this; his only allies are those in Ponyville who also enjoy pranks and such. Otherwise, orderly ponies hate him. Personality: - Mischievous to a T - The living incarnation of an instigator - Rulebreaker. Puck's free spirited personality prevents him from even considering obedience, ever. - Not the best at making friends, but terrific at making enemies. - Convinced that ponies who don't like his pranks are either "too full of themselves" or "need to loosen up".
Iris Race: Earth Pony Gender: Mare Age: 18 Eye Color: Turquoise Coat Color: Blue Mane Color: Gold Description: Iris was born and raised in the badlands with her extended family as the only earth pony. Living under her the shadow of her family members, Iris could never perform magic of her own - and living in such a hazardous place in Equestria, this caused her family to consider her to be the vulnerable one. As a result of being treated this way (to an obnoxious extent, to the point of being escorted to and from places by one of her unicorn brothers or sisters), Iris decided to escape from her home in the night; only to get lost before ever finding her way home. After weeks of trekking the wilderness, and eventually the everfree, Iris finally found herself in ponyville. She had gotten more than she had bargained for that night - and many nights, she wished she could be home again - but having been living in ponyville for a while, Iris considers ponyville as a second home to her, although she still yearns to return to her family again one day. As an added note, upon living in ponyville, Iris learned that Equestria is ruled by princess luna and princess celestia. Although Iris sees chaos and harmony as interchangeable lifestyles in pursuit of survival, Iris sees Equestria's monarchy as a good thing for Equestria as a whole - in her mind, she figures that one day, manipulating deception and discord may not be needed anymore in order for her to achieve her goals. Living on her own provided her with some useful knowledge in social engineering, hence the cutie mark of a mask which she achieved when she discovered her skill for deception. She has a knack for selling various exotic trinkets, as well as playing off superstitious ponies by providing them with a fortune for a small price in return. Personality: - Can be very deceptive. After living on her own in the badlands and the everfree, Iris discovered that she had a niche for making her enemies believe anything she wanted them to believe, and do whatever she wanted them to do, by using her gift for having a 'silver tongue'. - Generally introverted, although she enjoys nothing more than being with her friends at times. - Strongly motivated by survival. The only time she ever considers putting her survival at stake, is when she may need to lay down her life for one of her friends. - Loves having friends. After having spent so long being alone in the badlands and the everfree, Iris sees it as refreshing to relate to friends and acquaintances. - Always confident that she knows what she's doing. It hurts her pride when it has been revealed to her that she screwed something up, and she usually retaliates when someone does this to her.
