Wow I can't believe it. I have met my first brony in my city. Thanks to flankbook. What's more is he seems as crazy about it as i am. What's more he has his own website too. I thought even if I did ever meet a brony, he would be intimidated by me being too over the top into ponies. This happened 5 minutes ago, with an email saying let's meet up sometime. What's more this is my 300th post and this couldn't be a better present for this milestone, what a coincidence. Even better is that I just recorded a rehearsal video for my surprise MLP is awesome presentation at my school. Which I will be uploading and sharing with you as soon as it's uploaded. WHAT A DAY! Too much awesome all at one. I need to find something special to celebrate with. I think I could just squeal!
How awesome is that?! Now we both know a real life brony! Now all you have to do is bring him here! As for the presentation, I'm prety hyped to see that. It may only be a rehearsal, but it's all part of the build up, hey? Fantastic news Setz, fantastic news indeed.
Oh I forgot to mention, he also knows a dozen bronies, within our state. So it could lead to my first meetup for anything ever! Thank you Lupony. for always listening to what I have to say. Did you know your brony friend, before he became a brony, or he made you a brony? edit: and thanks to Testyal and Manehattanite. who ninja'd this post.
I went to primary school with him, we were best friends. We went to different high schools, and kind of lost contact. However, we later started talking again over mediums like MSN. One day, after my bronification, I mentioned ponies to him, and he actually said he was interested before I had mentioned it. Then we had a massive pony conversation, which I just had to save. He's actually on EveryPony, I_Ride_Ponies. Watch him ninja this post now. And hey, you usually have interesting stuff to say Setz!
Awesome now I got to resits getting sucked into flankbook :derpe: Though really great for you I feel like another smilie
Well it will be a unique experience to actually meet a brony for the first time. I'm like Fluttershy it will be nerve wracking. I am normally forced into friendships, such as going to school, I don't normally set out to meet people. In fact I am very antisocial to people I don't know and will sometimes literally ignore any random stranger who tries to talk to me in public. I wear headphones all the time to pretend I can't hear them. Yep Twilight and Fluttershy combined.
I was surprised, Flankbook worked. Even after I sent an email to the one Brony in my city I found it took nearly a week for a response. I assumed he was over the ponies already, since Flankbook said his last activity was 1 month ago.
Congrats!!! I hope you two have a ton of super fun awesome time together! Don't forget to bring a towel. a party towel. /wishes I knew a brony IRL
@Test I looked through the list of groups, under the filter of last active and found 2 for Australian bronies. I joined both and looked through the posts made in them. kept finding other cities, other cities, even more other cities, at least 4 of every city in the country other then mine. Then I found 1 from my city in the whole discussion. that was him. My state actually has the lowest population, so this was understandable.
I need to get a Flankbook.... That's fantastic news, Setzer! I am very jealous, I wish I knew a brony irl. Ah well, at least you got someone to share your love of MLP with in reality. As for your presentation...I CAN'T WAIT!!
I'm going to check out Flankbook. I left the useless waste of time that was Facebook about a year ago, and I have no intention of going back. I'm sick of the endless rubbish that people would post for attention. Flankbook however, it's ponies bro. Ponies.
Hmmm, Flankbook you say? Something for me to investigate. Awesome to hear you're finding more bronies in your area Setzertrancer! Also, I really want to see what you come up with for your presentation! Some of my friends I have discovered are bronies, but currently we're all fairly busy so we haven't had much time to meet and hang out. They don't seem to be quite as into the show as I am, either. Hopefully I will find some more bronies through Flankbook.
Congratulations, Setzer! That sounds exciting. I'm jealous, but in a good way, if that makes sense. I'm very happy for you. So Flankbook was the network that helped you with this endeavor, huh? Perhaps I should check it out sometime. Maybe there are bronies in my area just waiting to meet one another. I doubt it, but one can hope. I've always been very uncomfortable with the idea of meeting someone I only know online. For the first time, however, if I was ever presented with a feasible opportunity to do so, I might seriously consider it. Although, first I'd have to get over the hurdle that is my shyness and desire to not talk to people, I guess. I'm eager to see your presentation as well, which brings me to something I've been wanting to say to you for a little while now; why are you so awesome? In the short time you've been here— a little over a month— you've demonstrated your dedication and loyalty to not only Everypony, but to the fandom in general; 1) You have your own daily blog. 2) You mentioned us on The Brony Show. 3) You're in the process of making a MLP presentation. 4) You've made several PMVs. 5) You're proactively seeking out IRL bronies. 6) You've made some pretty interesting threads. If there's anything I left out, by all means, tell me. I can only speak for myself, but I just want to make you aware that what you do does not go unnoticed and is definitely appreciated. I'd tip my hat to you, sir, if I had a hat. After checking your profile, I see you only have 13 rep points. I think you deserve some more. You are an inspiration. At least, I think so. Keep up the good work, Setzer. Now you have 14 rep points.
