Now before I start, I know some of you are on different time zones than me, but it's only 9:03 on 12/21/2011 here. So as most people know... One year from now supposedly on 12/21/2012. The world... Is going to end! I'm not a firm believer in this, but if it is going to. How do you think it's going to happen out of curiosity? Personally. I hope that some form of apocalypse rides down up on a chariot of the Mane Six... And then I don't know where to go from there... So yea... Discuss :derpe:
I believe 2012 was discussed in another thread? Well, anyway, I guess I'll share my serious view on it. Economic failure/crisis. It's the only possibility to prove this somewhat "ominous" date, and even then the world wouldn't even end, it would simply end as we know it. Starvation, poverty and corruption will be the end of us all as the population continues to rise. Well, that and nuclear warfare, which becomes more and more inevitable every passing month. Still on the highly unlikely scale though. All very unlikely, 2012 is just a number, associated with a variety of conspiracies and theories. Nothing to worry about. Less serious prediction? Bronies take over the world and we rename Earth "New Equestria". I would then want to live forever.
I honestly don't believe the world will end, as it's been predicted the world will end for thousands of years... But if it did happen, I predict that the world would first start to turn dark, the clouds beginning to start forming the beginning of December, and it would rain. And it wouldn't stop rainning, then it would start to get violent, causing tornadoes, major lightning and thunder, and violent winds. Then, the earthquakes would happen, first starting at the San Andreas Fault, causing one of the largest quakes to happen since the beginning of the earth's forming, effectively splitting the West Coast, and cutting it off, then, as that will be happening, the Ring of Fire, which, I'm pretty sure, is west of the United States, in the Pacific Ocean, would erupt the underwater volcanoes from the sea floor to the surface, spewing ash into the air. It would then create a tsunami that would create havoc upon the whole sea board, hitting most seaboard countries. And then the zombies, what is a apocalyptic world without the zombies. And then the world went dark, when the world hit the twenty first. ....Yup.
Rather than thinking the world's "end" happening on one day. I see it as 2012 being a challenging year. With the many crises that have happened, are are currently happening this year alone, I can see another future conflict happening. The US very well may fall into a depression. Not to mention there is already worrying and conflict over North Korea's new leader. Russia has just created a new nuke nicknamed "Satan" by many. I see 2012 being a year of challenge and hardships, but the world is far from "ending".
Not sure why, but thanks none the less. Unless I am suddenly the prophet of a secret cult. So secret I don't know about it. That would be amusing.
Wasn't the world supposed to end in March or something? I remember making jokes about it, then woke up the next day. Logged on to Yahoo to check my email and saw a message like, "Priest is flabbergasted the world didn't end.." I rubbed my head and was like, "OH YEAH! LOOOOOOL!" I don't believe in the world ending, at least not in the way people predict. If it's going to end, and whether there's ponies involved or not, I'm riding the f*** out on War.
