Spoiler: The Setting

Hundreds of years after the Elements of Harmony, Equestria has perfected 'Jump' technology, the only practical way between star system, despite it's requiring of large portals for sustained travel and use of large ships. Using this technology, Equestria jumped to a nearby system that contained the closest 'green' planet to them in an attempt to become an interstellar empire. However, little did Equestria know, another species with the same jump capabilities also had their sights set on the planet. This other species was a race of humans from a planet called Terra, a planet were death, war, and apocalypse are far more common than other planets, a lesson the nation these humans hail from called Glory knew from experience in their long history of being the oldest, largest empire on Terra. Though at first, the two sides glared angrily at each other across the Isthmus that connected the two continents of the planet, as the seas were far too dangerous for travel, eventually, push came to shove as the two realized their competing interests made sharing the planet, which both sides called by it's Glorian name, Ciilonii (literally, Colony), impossible. After a mere 5 years since first contact, war came to Ciilonii.

You shall be a new soldier in the Equestrian army in year 5 of the Ciilonii war, the situation is you must throw yourself against a Glorian line that has already caused over 1 million war casualties alone, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of civilians slain by Glorian air power, which quickly asserted itself after the war. Despite this, the Glorians have been driven slowly back across the Isthmus, with 3/4's of the long, 10 mile long strip of land now in Equestrian hooves, while also costing Glory nearly 5 million in casualties total. However, the war is far from over, and there's is rumors beginning to spread that Glory might soon be able to send it's full might at them, which Glory has already shown to be far larger than Equestria's...

Glorian Soldier types:
-Legotium Elatian[Elite Guard]= Ciilonii numbers; 30,000
Info: Elatians are the hammer and fist of the Glorian military, covered in a power armor so resilient, nothing short of a tank round can pierce it. They are armed to the teeth with the deadliest weapons available, from miniguns to held machine gun grenade launchers to flamethrowers, these guys are fanatical, yet emotionless, trained from birth to basically be set loose on the battlefield and murder everything that isn't Glorian with extreme prejudice. They don't surrender, and they are extremely hard to take down, even if you catch them without their armor. If you run into these guys, the best chance you got is to run and hope that next time you get an attack by Glorian regulars.
-Legotium Magnitium[Great Guard]= Ciilonii Numbers: 1,270,000
Info: Magnitiums are Glory's navy SEALS, only trained even longer and harder. They usually start training at the age of 11, and are specialists in spec ops and even coordinated assualts. They are armored with a special metal-alloy thread that makes up their uniform that can stop any bullet below a .35 caliber with ease, and they are armed with highly accurate energy rifles. You will often find small squads of them roving behind Equestrian lines sabotaging and raiding convoys as they go.
-Riigelas[Regulars]= Ciilonii numbers: 3,700,000
Info: Glory's bread and butter infantry, trained for 6 months before being deployed. Armed with an M-16 like rifle called the RRS-420 and armored like any soldier in the American armor(blast plate, bullet resistant uniform, etc). These guys are who you will encounter most, but that doesn't mean they aren't tough. Not only are these guys fighting for Ciilonii and their paycheck, but also their right to be a full Glorian citizen, which, to them, is something they are willing to fanatically fight for.
