They have set up this blog(http://operationappreciation.tumblr.com/) as a means of showing appreciation for others of the fandom. It can be anyone, animators, artist, bloggers, youtubers, even you. Just as long as they are part of the fandom. This is a great idea, I hope you guys join in on it. I will be.

I'm going to be honest, the community isn't what it used to be when I joined it all... ...now things are falling apart and some are seeing bronies as ironic. We don't practice what we preach. Love and tolerance, y'all.

I can get into this, have no problem to send positive fan mail to the animators or voice actors or whoever. There's not really anything I would complain about with this show, it's very nearly perfect and if I talk about it with other bronies or non-bronies I always talk up the awesomeness of the show.
I'm disappointed and already voice my complaints and signed the petition with a civilized response that included precedent examples. Either way, the show will go on and we will still be watching (at least true fans will). All we can do is protest the change, but whether they never change it or not, I will keep watching the show and following the fandom. If people are getting stuck on this issue and it's disconnecting them from the show and its fanbase, they were never true fans. Edit: I was not familiar with Yamino, but did see her mentioned on EqD. We are all humans, and our human-ness responds to these things. In all actuality, we are simply a group of people who like a programme based on Hasbro's line of toys. Does that mean we can go out and battle for a random character's name? No. We don't control Hasbro. Hasbro is nearly always right with their decisions.

Long live ponies. I may be disapointed in the whole Derpy thing. But the show is still awesome and studio B and Hasbro deserve some praise for creating such a masterpiece.
People will be people. It's a wonderfull how the brony community attracts so many people that are truly willing to take on and live the message of Love and Tolerance, but we aren't a legion of holy people. And as we are growing, separation will be a result. It's pretty much inevetable, there will be those who choose to get dragged away in small issues like these. That's the tolerance part of our motto; Sometimes you just have to bit your tongue and be temperate in your convictions, if that way you contribute to the unity of the community. But many people fail to see this. And of course all this hate is wrong and very unfair. Wether it's towards Hasbro, the producers or bronies with different opinions... I personally loved the original Derpy, while I hate (and I don't use that term often) it when minorities like mentally disabled are being made fun of. So no. To me, like to many bronies, she didn't resemble an minority of any kind, and I certainly didn't feel she was being made fun of. But not everyone thinks/feels the same way. I can see why people may be worried how children will be effected when they see a 'mentally disabled' character 'being made fun of'. They may even be right. Even though, of course, this was no-one's intention. I can have peace with Derpy being altered.

I'm trying guys...I can't....I saw no message of sympathy from them for what they did...how can I? Knowing the Derpy I love is gone HURTS! I love the show, I do, but am I not allowed to feel hurt and betrayed?? I can't pretend like it's okay...it's not...not for me...I MISS Derpy! Is that so wrong?! :*(
