    Hello everypony!

Drawing ponies is pretty new to me, so you may notice some inconsistencies (read: I'm trying to figure out what in the world I'm doing). I'm trying to improve, so all critique is welcome here! What am I doing right, and what am I doing not-quite-so-right?

Don't mind the very unclean linework on this one, I am well aware that I bucked up on that.

I think her mane and tail turned out a bit too Faust-esque to fit my style.

    Any thoughts?

    My god, I love this.
Y'know, I much prefer line drawings to coloured images. They look so much.. Neater.
I hope to see more artwork from you at some point!

    Why thank you!
I don't know, it depends lot on the artist. I definately like Julie Nord (do look her up) best in black and white, but some art wears colours nicely in my opinion.
I have some half-finished ponies here, but I keep making their heads too big and realising it when it's too late. Odd.

I guess you work on the body first?
Or maybe the other way round - maybe your bodies are too small :3

I just realised what the problem is. After the two I've posted, I've begun drawing the entire pony much larger, and since I begin with the head, there is less remaining room on the paper. There is plenty of room for a properly-sized body, but my brain doesn't seem to understand that.

Which drawing program do you use? I believe you can have custom canvas sizes on anything, just make it bloomin' huge then scale it all down once your done, if that helps ya

I use paper. I'll just go back to using about half a page.

Oh, these are hand drawn? Damn, that's awesome.
I look forward to seeing more now, and I'm in need of an OC, so if ever I have the time to think one up I may come to you about it (if it's okay with you) :3

    Of course it's okay, Cavin.
    And thank you, SnowM!

I've been fiddling with this new OC of mine, and I think she's finally starting to look right. Her name is Shooting Star, and she is in the royal guard. I haven't quite settled on a colour scheme yet, though.
I couldn't get the front half of her body to work, including her legs, but oh well.

Aw, thanks guys! I might give colouring a try, although I'm not overly confident XD

Here is some more Shooting Star, looking awfully flirtatious:
