whenever I plan on drawing something, the first thing I draw is always Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie is my default -- when I can't think of anything to draw, I draw her. she is always for some reason the first thing I draw. to me, she's something I can easily practice with -- a simple color palette, lots of curves, and an expressive personality to practice facial expressions and body poses. it's these qualities which make Pinkie Pie my go-to experimental guinea pig for different art styles. http://ndogmario.deviantart.com/art/Pink-Attack-COLORED-317338140?ga_submit_new=10%3A1463193198&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1 but what about you guys? Do you guys have a default/guinea pig character/thing that you practice/casually draw with? question of the day: do you draw in a certain style when drawing certain characters? example: always drawing Pinkie Pie in a cartoony style , always drawing Fluttershy in anime style, and always drawing Applejack in realistic style...
I always draw in the same way because it is my unique style. Also, I get art ideas by scribbling and then making shapes from them, like trees.
I'm glad you like it. I can't put my finger on it but something tells me that you're a Pinkie Pie fan.
yeah I kind of do the same thing. I could even show you a few drawings that I used that on. and to relate to the topic of this thread, do you at least have a character that you're always practicing on?
