Ah, yes. Pinkie Pie. The Element of Laughter. You know, normally I find myself annoyed with the hyper characters in cartoons, but Pinkie's powers are so mind-blowing that I really don't care. She so often does absolutely ridiculous and random things but does so in such a way that you don't really get tired of it and it doesn't seem like the writers are trying too hard. Her singing is fine because she's the only character that does it regularly, and most of her songs are catchy. Plus, she loves to party, and there's nothing wrong with that! I also wish that I could eat as much sweets as her without getting fat, acquiring diabetes, or losing my teeth. Of course, we all know that she's not just some random, crazy, party-obsessed filly. Although it hasn't appeared very much, there's a whole other side to the coin that really interests me: Pinkamena. Firstly, we must talk of her initial appearance in The Cutie Mark Chronicles. I'm glad they decided to go that route with her because it gives her more depth than your standard crackhead comedy character. It shows that she wasn't always like she is now, which, if not for that episode, would be incredibly hard for us to believe. Of course, we still may not have believed her if not for the events of two episodes later in Party of One. It shows her need for friends in order to stay happy. Otherwise, she becomes completely insane and makes her own friends. It really makes you wonder what would have happened if that party didn't bring her back to her bright and cheery self. Would she have just been bitter? Would she live as a recluse? Or would there be cupcakes made? Who knows? It doesn't matter, since all it took was a party for her from her friends to turn her back into a little pink bundle of joy again. Speaking of cupcakes, don't speak of Cupcakes. It's a fanfiction. Nothing more. Don't let it affect the way you see Pinkie. She's still Ponyville's pink peppy party-planning pony. Bottom line: Pinkie's fun, funny, and a well-rounded character. That rounding is perfect, too, because being round makes her a ball, which are great for bouncing, which she does a lot of. She's a very lovable character who will stay in our hearts...
Pinkie is one of the main Bullseye in this show. While Rarity is the fashionable and feminine girl who's a pensive artist who creates style instead of a consumist so-to-speak fashionista-aspiring girl, Pinkie's the hyper girl who has a touch to make friends happy, and not the silly and sometimes idiotic bubblehead who thinks of nothing but having fun and eating candy. Faust probably thought on this because she wanted her characters to be girls who are intelligent, and not dumb girls only into make-up and boys and other futile things.
Pinkie. You can spot her from anywhere. Noticeable almost quickly. Plus she has a way of finding you before you find her. One of the most lovable pony in my view. You can never help but smile everytime she says something or laugh at what she does.
She's obviously the big comedic relief in the show of course. But she also has her dark slightly deranged side as we know too. I love both sides of her. It's a balance. <3
Epic picture xD Kso. I HATED Pinkie Pie at first. But later something just told me "Hate Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie is better", so I did. Also, I'm kinda like her. I'm super hyper, but I'm not eating cake, cupcakes, candy and all that 24/7.
Me too! Honestly, I was legitimately a bit scared of her for a bit after that episode! Yet, I liked her even more too! Which brings me to this point: There are times when she is so insane, it's actually a bit terrifying! I'd be thinking: "How have you not gotten any help for this already?" Don't worry, the above is all in a good, positive way! I know it's silly to actually be scared of a child-friendly pony! In fact, there's a fangic on Equestria Daily called "Sweet Apple Capers" and this story, because of all the insanity that Pinkie causes in it, made me flashback to when I first saw Po1 and made me scared of her for a bit again! Hey there, Pinkie Derelle!
I think Pinkie is really great in last 7 episodes (from "Green Isn't Your Color" to "The Best Night Ever"). She's the best character in most of these episodes. She was also great character before (like almost every other pony), but here she becomes the best pony (with Fluttershy, of course)! (it is only my opinion, probably nobody agrees it) She's great especially in "Party of One" (but here she is the main character) and "The Best Night Ever".
Pinkie Pie is my second favorite character. I just love how randomly funny and happy she (usually) is. At first it did annoy me when she broke into song, but then I grew to like it. Also three particular episodes come to mind that allowed me to like her character even more, "Cutie Mark Chronicals," "Party of One" and "Swarm of the Century." I'll keep it brief so as not to just repeat what has already been said. "Cutie Mark Chronicals" - Pretty much the same reason as Jett mentioned. It added depth to her character instead of making her look like some kind of hyperactive lunatic. "Party of One" - You get to see another side of her. Pinkie's dark pink side (Literally! I mean, didn't you see how she was darker?! Yikes!). "Swarm of the Century" - This shows Pinkie's somewhat serious side. I say "somewhat" because on the surface it looked like she was up to her usual shenanigans, yet she was the only one that truly understood how to deal with the parasprites. It shows that even though she normally acts in comedic fashion, if she ever suggests how to solve a problem, LISTEN! For all you know, she may be right. Since that's out of the way, what do you say? 24 minutes and 8 seconds of some Pinkie Pie goodness? I just watched these and felt like sharing them. You can never have too much Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie is great character (not saying favourite or some number since all ponies are my favourites, just that Fluttershy is cute even when she's angry, so that's why she's favourite, but all others are eaquel + spike). she's a great comedian, and just being element of laughter is great. she's a pony that can always cheer you up.
You know why she is my favorite character? From the first moment you see her, you probably said, "She is the comedic relief. Obvious." But as the season went on, I found myself beginning to like her more and more. She is intelligent. Not exactly book smart like Twilight, but she was a people person, or more like it, a ponies pony. I also like how she knows everything about what she does know. Another thing I like about Pinkie is the first moral of the story she had a major part in, "Sometimes you just gotta believe in something, although you can't explain it." The first thought is religion, when really it means that you don't need to know everything. The only thing I don't like about her character is that she wasn't the first pony to approach Zecora, the mysterious one. Which could be one of her flaws. Which doesn't make sense on two accounts. She approached Gilda as if it was no big deal, constantly trying to be her friend. Also she has a 'Laugh at your fears' song, contradiction to her being fearful of Zecora. She's my favorite character, for some reasons. She cheers me up every time, when I'm in a bad mood, and you can get a laugh out of it, too. Her songs are great, they're all very catchy. And she isn't just hyperactive and jokeful every time. She's sometimes serious, and very intelligent, too. You already said it all, so I'm just going to contribute to it.
