Well it was about time wasn't it? I just thought I'd join this crazy train, called "The Art Thread" Its about time I start mine. It's a learning process, I shall get better with time. I may not update too often though, so don't be too expectant. -First one is an OC drawing of Rashall Firemane. (Incomplete) -And a few sketches I made in art class.
Cool, and I can also relate, can't even get the pictures from my phone as its not smart and I lost the transfer cable. But anyways, could you ever so kindly find the time to draw Snow Mark and Winter Warmth (He's the blue guy in my avatar, and he does have a cutie mark, just to lazy to find it and add it. Its supposed to be a flaming fireball.), and to help give you ideas, they're a couple.
Time for the next installment of my mediocre art, This time I bring you Mouse Art ponies, These little Ba@!$rds were done in MS Paint and took me 4 hrs collectively... Say hello to my OC "Pegasus" This little guy is moddled after "Pegasus" from the the Disney Movie "Hercules". Guess Who... Wow. Didn't think i'd come back to this tread... Ever. But I did it, I got a tablet and am making my mediocre art. First up is my work in progress. A Wallpaper Idea I got after listening to SGAP's "E40". And Finally there is my second one Of the same art style. My Friend requested it after seeing the Applejack one. Of course I had no plans to make a series of them, So I put it in a basic 1280 x 1024 format.
That's actually very nice! It reminds me of a certain style, but very well ponified. Well done, I like the AJ one most.
Aww, how sweet. Yeah, with a bit of polish and some stroke designs, that would make a really fantastic wallpaper. I'd quickly replace my "map of Equestria" with it.
Oh? Mind giving me some pointers. I'm new to the tablet and computer art programs. Well, aside from MS paint.
Hmm, well I recommend only two programs at the moment: Paint Tool SAI (my personal favorite) ArtRage Studios (my friend loves it to death) I also use Photoshop whenever I need to do the "unicorn horn magic." I'm thinking if you used different shades of her hair color to stroke from her head and outwards you could throw in apple-symbolism here and there and make it slightly abstract in her hair, turning it into a crazy pretty mess, but you'd have to use just shades of 2-3 colors, (like blonde, red for apples, and green for trees.) That's just my opinion though. My brain works funny at times. Hmm, what kind of tips can I share?
Not done with the hair yet, but I enjoy the stroke idea. I just need to pull it off. I have ArtRage(Not downloaded.), and am currently using Sai.
Well then, I've got a project I've been working on that should be done (hopefully) tonight. Once you see it, I promise that it was done entirely in SAI. Unfortunately, it's a secret project.
