What's up with all these advertisement introductions lately? Is there anything that can be done about it?
We are doing our best at removing them as they come, we have no known way at the moment on how to stop them though.
When I joined, there was a test question (Fill in the blank: Twilight ______) that had to be answered before I could complete the sign up process. That was before the switch to XenForo. Is there anything like that still in use?
Yep, I think @A Jewel of Rarity is switching around captchas we're trying make sure we are using one the bots haven't figured out.
Have you considered drone strikes targeting the locations of the IPs? I know it'd be expensive, but I honestly think it'd be the best solution.
I know the right guys to bribe if you want to do that. I used to work in Predator while I was in the Air Force.
This is still quite a difficult issue to resolve but we haven't forgotten about it we are still removing accounts and threads as we see them, its just the preventing part that is the issue.
Me and @Ridley Wolf could find the bot programmers, and uhh... SWEARS WARNING That might be a decent solution to the problem.
Not sure how all that works, but it wouldn't surprise me if he pointed these a-holes in our direction somehow.
We have taken some action against it now and it seems to have stopped for now, I only say for now because I don't wanna say its 100% fixed. I will wait a few days before saying we have succeeded in preventing spam.
