Here is a really interesting image someone made of Equestria Daily in the year 2024. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o-SNdck_e...47312+-+Equestria_Daily+future+the_future.png This makes for an interesting discussion. How long do you think ponies will last and just how much impact do you think they will have on the world? Will MLP:FiM reach a 14th season?
Hmm, first CC's robot pony threads, now this. I think ponies will last for a while. Technically, they've lasted almost thirty years now, so another thirty years isn't out of the question, with periods of inactivity along the way. Look at Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who. They've been around forever, and seem to come back stronger after a break. I don't know if politicians will every recognize the importance of ponies, but a brony can dream, can't one?
well, I would say it is possible ad Dwynter said. like Simpsons are very very long now in same format, and they still have many fans and still very good. as for politicians, I accepted that challenge
MLP:FIM has a huge cult following that's never going to die~ I think we can make it to 2024, definitely! The pic made me all dreamy, by the way. x3 Besides, theres still old TV shows from the 30s and such that still have big fanbases, so why not??
I did notice one error on the future page of Equestria Daily - Unless they skipped a season (for the above reasons? Or to focus on a MLP movie?), 2024 would be the 15th season. Also, the show will be on Wednesdays, instead of Fridays. And I like Pinkay's idea that it'll still be around at the turn of the next century!
Good grief - well... we can try, I know that much! By then the web will be in analogue (or whatever) 3D or something...!
It would be awesome if Hasbro stuck with MLP: FiM as the cartoon for their toy series, and didn't try to release another one (unless they can somehow show that it's an improvement). That way, they can just continue to introduce a lot of ponies into the show to add to their toy line, and we get to keep the show for a long time to come. With technology continuing to advance, who knows what other products they might come out with in the future?
