Pony Hypnosis

Oh my god. Is this... Is this.. Like... Real...?

 

I've tried this...once. It's really weird but also kind of different in a good way. It was also my first time doing anything hypnosis related so I figured it might be kind of fun.

 

I used to be a regular over at tulpa.info, the site where the isochromatic tones listed in that document came from and the guy who made them is a member of. These kinda topics are discussed very in depth over there, and in my experience I'm going to have to say that no, it isn't possible.

A big part of hypnosis, mind-tricks, anything like that is that the person undergoing it (the subject) needs to be completely open to the idea and willing, and there in lies the problem. If it is something that won't work unless the person doing it is completely on board and really wants to do it, then it isn't objective. Not to mention that tricking the mind requires much time and focused effort, it isn't just something that you can do off the cuff.

If anything what is actually going on is that they are role-playing, and the "hypnosis" is acting as a placebo, basically meaning they are pretending, even if they believe otherwise. Like how a person who has never drank can get drunk if you give them non-alcoholic beer but convince them that it is alcoholic.


Is achieving a trance state possible? Yes. I can do it, and you can do it too with instruction and regular practice. Hypnosis and adopting someone else' personality? Ehh...no. Not without many, many hours of focus practice (read - years) and even then, you are basically still just knowingly deceiving yourself. And to deceive your brain into thinking something is real when it knows it is not again requires not only lots of concentrated effort and practice but also the willingness to do so.

So I would have to say that no, I do not believe it is real. However, "real" is a relative term and in order for it to be real you have to believe that it is real, which inherently makes it not real.

From what I've come to understand, it's exactly what the title says. You utilize hypnosis soundfiles with the intent of trying to hypnotize yourself into seeing yourself as a pony, particularly one of the mane six. They apparently have trigger words worked in so once the hypnosis takes hold that you can turn it on and off at will. It really does sound very interesting. I wonder if some of the people who tried it managed to get a full visual hallucination.(seeing themselves at the pony when they look in the mirror)

 

Well if you wanna be pony there's an easier way to do it. [!NOPE!] But yes it's a drug and it's illegal. But anyways it's 15 minute duration feels like an eternity. Watching my little pony while on this drug or watching just about anything has a mind engulfing effect. It's very cool I think

 

Well acid won't make u act like a character it will just make them look real. I mean when I watched return of the elements or whatever it's called. The one with discord. I was on LSD. And it really made **** look real. I mean it's kinda of a trippy epidode to begin with. Anways I can't do hypnosis my mind isn't steady enought for that amount of patience

 

I'm thinking of trying it, though I'm debating between Rarity and Applejack.
