I was listening to an old episode of Bronyville and somehow I missed on my first listen through a great idea they came up with, that I think would be a perfect pony game.

'Pony Party' - based off of 'Mario Party'

You would choose a pony and then go around a boardgame level based on.

PonyVille, Cloudsdale, Everfree Forest, Sweet Apple Acres and Manehatten.

    There would be 60 mini-games.

The protaginist would be Celestia and the Antagonist Nightmare Moon, or maybe Trixie.

What ideas would you have for minigames? Do you think a pony party game would be a cool idea.

Personally I loved Mario Party and have wasted countless hours on it with my friends and a pony version would be absolutely divine!

Ah Mario Party....one of my fondest memories I've ever had was because of that game...heh...

Pony Party sounds brilliant! Fun boards, large cast of characters, it could really be something! I have to think about mini-games though....hmmmm....

Since I don't play video games, I was thinking of a completely different kind of Pony Party!

    (Glares)

Fluttershy belongs to only one pony and that pony is me!

"Peace, Love, Tolerance, war is for the weak, war is for the weak, war is for the weak, I am destined for Fluttershy and that will be proved in time"

"Ahem Yes" (twitch) "You can be Fluttershy for a game or two" (twitchy twitch) "But Fluttershy loves me so it matter's not who controls her in a fictional game".

(whispers while sharpening knives) "matters not, matters not, Muahahaha! Fluttershy loves me, there is no doubt, Muahaha!"

"whoops I left my automatic speech to type program on, better turn it off before I say anything incriminating that would be broadcasted online"

    :sigh:
In my opinion, Mario should stop throwing so many parties. Pinkie Party would be a nice idea though. I didn't care much for the games, but I've played them enough times to understand the goal and its mechanics. Here's my dig on Pony Party...

    :grin:Playable characters/pieces:
    • Twilight Sparkle
    • Pinkie Pie
    • Rainbow Dash
    • Rarity
    • Applejack
    • Fluttershy
    • Spike
    • Gilda
    • Lyra
    • BonBon
    • Berry Punch
    • Carrot Top
    • Trixie (unlockable)
    • Cheerilee (unlockable)
    • Vinyl Scratch (unlockable)
    • Derpy (Unlockable)

    :angry:NPCs:
    • Princess Celestia (Party host - main boardmaster and appears on some boards)
    • Nightmare Moon (Party crasher - shows up on Moon spaces and hurts players, bitter she wasn't invited)
    • Zecora (Guest - appears on Zebra spaces and helps the player or gives them a riddle to solve)
    • Big McIntosh (Guest host - appears on the Sweet Apple Acres board)
    • The Wonderbolts (Guest hosts - appear on the Cloudsdale board)
    • Braeburn (Guest host - appears on the Appleloosa board)
    • Prince Blueblood (Guest host - appears on the Gala board)
    • Steven Magnet (Guest host - appears on the Everfree Forest board)
    • Several others - some board-specific.
    :smile:Game Boards:
    • Ponyville - Ponyville Square
    • Cloudsdale - Rainbow Factory
    • Canterlot - Celestia's Castle during the Gala
    • Appleloosa
    • Everfree Forest
    • Manehattan (unlockable)
    • Sweet Apple Acres
    • Jewel Caves (unlockable)
    :pff:Mechanics:
    • Bits are coins, gifts are stars - whoever gets the most gifts wins.
    • Bits can be used to purchase pastries (board power-ups) or gifts on specific points of a board.
    • There will be positive spaces that award bits and negatives spaces that take them away.
    • Special spaces are also present (Moon space, Zebra space, 'Switch' space) that can help or hurt players.
    • Minigames and their types (free-for-all 1v1v1v1, tag-team 2v2, handicap 3v1, and duel 1v1) would probably be determined the same way as it would be in Mario Party.
    • Some boards have specific objectives to complete or ways to get more gifts.
    • Board power ups come in the form of pastries (cookies, pie, cake, candy, etc.) and have different effects when used.
    • Most mini-games will be simple and won't require much more than one or two buttons to play.
    • Estimated around 58-70 total mini-games, most of them 4-player minigames.
    • This is a 4-player game.
    :omg:Possible Minigames:

    • Applebuck Season (2v2 minigame) - one player bucks trees while their teammate catches the apples that fall. The team with the most apples collected wins the game.
    • Ice Breakers (4-player minigame) -players ice skate around the lake on an ice block that is constantly deterioritating and shifting around. You can skate around to try and cut the ice, but you may also fall into the water if you are not aware - the last pony to stay on the block wins.
    • Ursa Trouble (4-player minigame) - Players run away from an ursa minor that is rampaging through the everfree and you have to try and escape. Avoid obstacles wherever you can - this game can have more than one winner.
    • Showpony (4-player minigame) - Photo Finish is having an exhibition and requires you to pose appropriately - a pose will be shown on the screen and then the player will have to choose the correct one (via directional or button input) or be eliminated. The player that lasts to the end is the winner.
    • Sweet Treats (1v1 minigame) - Two players compete to gather and assemble pastries according to a customer's order. The player that gets the most amount of correct orders will be the winner.
    • Hole-y Moley! (2v2 minigame) -Two teams attempt to collect gems at the digging site - one player wields a hammer and another has a bag to collect them. The player with the hammer can hit diamond dogs that pop out for 1 point, but will lose a point if he/she shatters a gem that pops up. The player with the bag can pull out gems from the holes for one point, but can also have a gem and a point stolen from them if they come into contact with a dog. The team with the most points at the end of the time limit will win.
    • Pie Noon (4v4 minigame) - Players attempt to throw pies at each other in an enclosed area that conatins cover - whoever gets the most amount of hits at the end of time wins.
    • Perfect Harmony (3v1 minigame) - the Elements of Harmony have shattered and have to be put back together. 3 players attempt to piece them together as a team while one player attempts to assemble them before they can. The handicapped player gets larger pieces to assemble and the players working together get smaller ones. Whichever side assembles the elements the fastest before time runs out is the winner.
    • Stampede-ment (1v1 minigame) - two players compete to control a stampede, trying to corral them into their own fence. The player that can capture the most stampeding critters will win the game.
    • Hard Cores (3v1 minigame) - one player is in control of a large apple-shooting machine that can cover several spots and the other three have to try and avoid the shots until time runs out

I'm not very fond of party games, but I would play this one.
