Anyone one else really disappointed that there hasn't been any more Princess Luna since episode 2? She's definitely my favourite pony
It's kinda funny how everyone likes her so much even though she's only appeared in one episode, for like 20 seconds as her normal self, with like only one line. I mean they could take the character pretty much anywhere atm.
She's loved (i suppose among other things) because she's mysterious. No one knows anything about her, other than... well, you know what.
Well also note that she symbolized the night, and the internet is full of people who prefer dark type things over light type things, a part of the internet counter-culture probably contributes to it.
Really? Hmm. Interesting - the dark side of the moon. Lunar - Luna. Celestial - Celestia. Stating the obvious here but I think I'm going to be spending an absurd amount of time analysing names in future FiM episodes
Well, common fact is that the thing we see less is normally the thing we get interested in the most. Main characters aren't as beloved as side characters.

Whoa this thread exploded while I was gone. Anyway, Lauren confirmed that Luna was going to appear in season 2 on her deviant art page IIRC? The first thing that drew me to Luna was that she looked awesome, that's it really :derpe: I'm disappointed that she was essentially scrapped as a character because imo if Luna and Celestia co-rule Equestria then surely they are equally important. And on a semi related note, I also want The Elements of Harmony to feature more. If I had an awesome magical necklace thingy I'd be wearing it constantly. A whole lot of story was just cut off never to be heard of again
Well the first 2 episodes weren't actually written by Faust, so that explains why the elements of harmony haven't reappeared, the concept of Luna probably came later or something - explaining why she hasn't been in any episodes, they probably had most of them planned out before hand when Hasbro troll faced their way in someone else to write an "introduction."
Yeah. They pretty much stabbed and mutilated the story and just decided to do everyday-life episodes. I actually like this way more. Usually when you have it in sequence, the characters have to get stronger, which tends to seem a little cliche to me. They can also introduce characters a lot easier, then take them out like that. *clops hoofs* (snaps fingers) To tell the truth, the only one I'd see wearing it constantly would be rarity and dash. And I think Luna is the more popular of the two. We know more about Celes, but Luna... You can make up all kinds of stuff with her. Celes is the ruler - Basically jokes about kings and royalty. Luna - ... I guess since she's the younger sister, "misunderstood", and hasn't been in the castle for 1000 years (Just wanted 3 ), she's used more as the gullible one. I think I've only really seen her in 1 comic where she was the victor.
I'm pretty sure that was Faust's original idea for the show The 2 introduction episodes weren't written by her, actually many people regard those 2 as pretty bad (I know many people suggest skipping the first 2) Though they did do a good job introducing the characters
Ahhh, so they were written by someone else. Well that explains a lot. I quite liked the first 2 eps, I mean, they weren't anything spectacular but I wouldn't skip them.
I actually wouldn't tell people to skip them. Because then they'd be like... "Who the f*** is Luna?" But I would tell them that they just introduce the characters, then point them towards the best ones.
