Ponified Plot: On a dark day in Gallopmere, the castle suffers another wild attack. Monsters, normally only found near the Everfree Forest, have been appearing and showing up around the fortress, terrorizing the farmers outside of the walls, and destroying crops. During one of the attacks, the monsters were able to be dispelled, which proved they were summoned by a powerful wizard. The group just happened to be in the Gallopmere tavern when that news came up. One of the local unicorn mages offered to enchant items for whoever was brave enough to venture with him to find and eraticate the summoner. Of course... who could pass up that opportunity? It's a very rate thing to find an enchanter, and who knows what goodies a summoner may have? So the group agrees, then gets acquainted with one another, meeting and getting to know the red unicorn Shatterstorm. After following the energy lines, he leads the group to an old abandoned stone palisade in the forest. He mentions that inside might be some really weird creatures, so the group should be careful. He will stay outside and ensure that nothing escapes. As the group stands before the palisade, mostly grown over with bushes and ivy, the old portculis stuck in the open position as members of the group could smell a horrible odor coming from within. It's dark, as no lights were being provided from within, but the first few tiles were a nice, rough flagstone, while the walls were made of large stone masonary.
Scire shifted on her hooves uneasily. She was scared, and she wasn't going to deny it. She wasn't the best fighter, and there were some pretty nasty things down there, as far as she knew. She just hoped the rest of her group was good enough at fighting to make up for her, or they'd be ending up as a snack for someting... Her psychic skill wasn't even useful, now; all it did was cause her pain and distraction when anything animate touched her. She doubted that it would be useful to see life-changing events of monsters...
A series of clicks as she tightens a spring with a little lever on one of the tiny stabilisers that stop each turbine from pointing anywhere other than downwards. She flicks the boiler on the top of the saddle, checking that it's started to glow hot. The slow wave of heat from the chamber seemed to suggest that strongly. She flicks a small switch, dials flicking into life, steadily rising along with the mounting pressure in the holding chamber. She straps a helmet and goggles to her head. Both are heavy duty items that seem able to withstand more than most diamonds. At the very least, her equipment will have a far better chance of surviving than she will. With everything set, she wriggles underneath the saddle and lifts it up, seating it comfortably on her back. She takes a moment to connect straps to connections, pulling them tight. She looks into the cave, her ears falling flat against her helmet. "That looks dark..." Pressure said, looking around at her group. "And old...'Fall-down-with-us-inside' old. Maybe this isn't such a good idea?"
