Same thing I did with drawing. I don't know why writing and drawing feel so different to me. I was always told the hardest part of writing is starting. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Rashall walks on the sidewalk of the main avenue of Manehatten, trying not to get trampled by the hordes of ponies. Take a vacation to Manehatten they said, there was a reason why Rashall never particularlly liked big cities. Reason number one, way too many ponies he tended to like smaller cities more so than the larger ones. Along his trek Rashall stumbled accross a large park and immeadiatly made for it. The first thing he noticed was the change in atmosphere, it was more peaceful in the park and less congested than the sidewalks. He found a nearby bench and sat down, for a park in the middle of a city it was kept very clean and neat though the lack of ponies here was disturbing there were a few playing instruments underneath a gazeebo nearby. The melody was nice and soothing and helped to drown out the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city. Rashall liked it here alright, it wasn't even noon yet and he at least found a place in the city where he felt at home.
Uniqua walked through the throngs of ponies. She didn't have trouble getting through the crowds, most of the ponies knew her and stayed out of her way. When she felt crowded, it was made known. She headed for the park center. When she got to the park, she spotted a gray pegasus that seemed proud that he had gotten through the city safely. She headed over to him, lightly smiling.
Uniqua settled down next to him on the bench, as if they were old friends. Looking at him, she says "You're not from here, are you?"
Uniqua saw him trying to enjoy the view of the park. She laughed quietly. "Hey, no worries. I'll be outta your mane so you can get a good look around. You just don't seem like the type of pony to visit Manehatten."
"Ah. Manehatten can be nice, but you chose to come at a bad time of year. This is even a bit crowded for me." Uniqua says, looking out at the seemingly thousands of ponies.
"Wasn't asking for titles, but smart for adding." Uniqua comments. "Well, I've got some things to do. I'd give you a tour of the city, but you don't appear to be into that. I'd say see you later, but that doesn't seem very possible." Uniqua says, getting up to leave.
"I don't exactly have a place to stay here, so I was going to camp out here in the park," says Rashall.
"Oh, there's some pretty nice hotels around, but they run pretty high rates. Why don't you stay at my place? Weird ponies visit the park at night. The kind that sell stuff that shouldn't exist." Uniqua says, looking back at Rashall.
Rashall got up off the bench and walked up to the mare, "Well I guess it's better than nothing lead the way," he says at last.
Uniqua leads him down what seems to be a dark alleyway, but it eventually leads to a large house. Uniqua sighs "Yeah, my parents have some money. They seem to think I need a big house to be happy." She walks up a long pathway to the house. She opens up the large doors, stepping inside. "C'mon in." she says to Rashall.
"You should come and see my house, it doesn't have as much grandeur as yours but it's cozy none the less," says Rashall walking through the doors.
