Hello everypony! I might have once again posted this in the wrong topic. Anyway i found it time to share my pony related laser art through a topic instead of through my newcoming topic. Please enjoy! View attachment 2217 View attachment 2219 View attachment 2218 View attachment 2215 View attachment 2216 I will be doing a full pony animated graphical lasershow somewhere next year, so stay tuned! My youtube account is masterpj555 so check it out if you'd like! Any questions about lasers, laser projectors or request, please let me know here. Feedback is apreciated. If screens from the software or how they were drawn are desired, please let me know too! My software is no secret. Nothing is photoshopped and no exposure tricks. The camera used to photograph is the Iphone 4.
Let me keep it simple. I use a laser projector and a laser controller and laser software and a pc (Running windows, there exist no laser software for OSX or linux). Inside a laser projector are 3 main components: - Laser modules (in my case I have a Red Green and blue laser module) - optics - Galvo's (also called laser scanners) - Laser modules: can kinda be compared with a laser pointer, but they are block like shaped. Analog laser modules (which i have) have the ability to dim and switch on and off extremly fast, that way you can mix light to produce all colors you want (except black). (yes shades of gray is possible and brown too) - Optics: are parts you should NEVER touch or even breath at. The laser apperture is a part of the optic (window that prevents dust and fog from coming in the projector so you wont constantly clean them, in fact laser projectors lose a LOT of power if the mirrors are filthy. On high powered lasers even mirrors can burn because they are filthy. Dichros are also a part of the optics, dichros let specific colors (wavelengths) through and deflects other specific colors. That way colors can be mixed together into a single laser beam. - Galvo's : These are really motors yes. They are like this: http://members.quicknet.nl/m.vos2/media//galvo5.jpg As you can see 2 mirrors, direct the path of the beam. Galvo's can move very fast and also tell their position, and can be moved really precisely. With special controller hardware we can make images with these. The laser galvo's follow a path of points (coordinates) I say them it should do through software. We also call this: vector graphics. Due to phyisical limits, the current max speed that laser galvo's can do is 60.000 points per second. While the standard is 30.000 points per second. corners need stop points else things will end up rounded, and so forth and forth. Guess thats pretty much it.
Thanks very much, also fluttershy is one of my favourite ponies. Danvid somehow i keep thinking ur from the UK btw. lighting helix: Merry christmas to all bronies out there in France!
If your close to the belgium border you can join brony meets there. If your ever heading to the netherlands, let me know. It's always cool to meet up with a fellow brony
Doing requests now and have an alias! Hello everypony! Yesterday was one of the best days ever. People on facebook told me to make myself an alias, and after some voting it became: Laserpon3. So after that I made a facebook page (where i take requests): http://www.facebook.com/pages/LaserPon3/ and also a tumblr: http://laserpon3.tumblr.com/ So thats same day I had put op a stream of me drawing and it was shared in the huge bronies page on facebook <3! And had about 40 people watching and in fact even Alex S joined the stream to watch and talk!!! /)^3^(\ So if anypony wants to join the stream next time, be sure to keep an eye out for my facebook page, i will say if i'm streaming there. Here's some fanart I drew that day: For omnipony: View attachment 2294 For Stuart: View attachment 2295 Someone requested Lyra (her pony skin is somehow miscolored on the picture, will fix later: View attachment 2293
This art, Does it come in stereoscopic 3D? =P Anywho; I know my school's science department had a setup like this some 5 years ago, However the board had it removed for safety reasons. Rather silly decision in my opinion.
In stereoscopic 3D? sure can do if you want. also i'm working on the fully animated graphics show. The Living tombstone suggested me a song and alex S even offered to send me one. I'll be working on the The living tombstones first. And then Alex S. Perhaps simultaniously to switch a bit from mind every now and then.
Working on this: This is the very early preview version, i'm much further now, got permission and good feedback from tombstone.
In the animated YAY you'd want to leave the first frame of animation a sec to let mirrors to gain speed (in the video looks like a dust bunny of light morphing into fluttershy before the "yay") Anyways, pardon my pickey.-ty
@_____@ ... that... is AWESOME. My animator/techie side is geeking out hard core right now. Love seeing updates as you get further along with the pieces!!
Dude! Now I want something like that XD You are making some awesome works there! Keep it up I can't wait to see more!
