Equestria was once under the rule of the benevolent monarch, Princess Celestia, but like all good things, her rule came to pass after being overthrown by a rebel group, the Equestrian Freedom Leigion (EFL). The head of the EFL had everypony brainwashed with their utopian propaganda and test-tube breeding, adjusting their genes so that their minds were more easily malleable. Any fillies born of a real mother would be taken from her as an infant and hit with doses of radiation, destroying brain cells, making them mindless servants of the EFL. A few ponies, however, escaped into the wilderness, managing to hide from the EFL. These ponies were able to give birth to normal fillies, and they were taught the finer points of combat by ex-palace guard, Shining Armor. Now, grown up, these ponies formed an army, the Reform Equestria Movement (REM), dedicated to finding Celesta and putting her back on the throne. You can be any pony from the show or an OC. The show characters will have aged, so the Mane 6 would be adults, and the CMCs would be teens. I'll have a charrie thread up, so be looking!
Steel Blaze was helping his family at the settlement forge named the Iron Storm forge. While his father was forging the blade and his mother was engraving it so she can permanently keep it enchanted with out recharging it reguly. (that was his families secret enchantment method) Steel was tasked with creating the hilt and attaching the enchanted blade, as well as naming it. "Mum, what's the purple enchantment for I've never seen anything like it.". Then his mum turned around placing the next enchanted blade next to him before replying. "well blaze, that enchantment is very special it is known as the bane of the everfree which means it is extremly effective against the creatures in this very forest. Now finish the last blade with the Wind enchantment and then you can go give the bane to shining armour and the air to Rainbow". Steel simply nodded fixing the second blade into the hilt and headed off. Stardust Shade was listening intently to one of Rainbow Dash's flight lectures. This one was about dodging arial projectiles. Of all the pegasi in her class, Shade had the most potential, though Dash wished he knew limits, for his own sake. Every time he trotted in, he had a new injury. Today his left hind leg had a gauze bandage. If he didn't end up killing himself, he could end up as good a flier as she was.
Steel who was in his armour trotted up underneath shade, Rainbow dash and the other pegasi. "Rainbow Dash, I have the sword you ordered. That will be 185 bits, 80 for the enchantment, 100 for the blade and 5 for on site delivery".
Dash took the sword and handed him the money. "Thanks." Shade nodded at Blaze. "Hey Blaze. Do you have time after this is over?"
"Sure, just got one more delivery to major shining armour. Hey, how about we meet at glimmering lake I'm already meeting peppermint and shield hawk there".
"Sure. I have something important to say. The more ponies, the better." He returned to his lesson, starting to work on his form.
Arrows was limping through the woods when he saw what he thought was settlement. "No, that can't be it, I must be seeing things." He thought, but as he got closer it looked more and more real. Right then, he collapsed from exhaustion and his injuries.
When the class was done, Shade rushed to Glimmering Lake. Before he arrived, however, he noticed an injured pony, limp on the ground. He landed beside him. "Can you hear me?"
Arrows tried to get up, but he fell back down. "Yeah, I can hear you, do you have a medical tent or something here?" He asked, in pain.
Shade smiled uneasily. "Yeah. We better get there quick. You don't look too good." Shade picked him up with some difficuly and galloped back to the settlement.
When Arrows got to the medical station, the medics started placing bandages on his legs, and telling him to keep still. "I suppose you want to know how I got here?" Arrows said.
"I suppose I do." Shade said, pulling a knife from the sheath strapped to his chest. "And everything you know about EFM."
"Woah Woah Woah! I don't know what this EFL is. I was in Appleloosa when a bunch of goons walked in and started abducting ponies. I hid in the Everfree Forest, they chased me, and I hid in a Ursa Minor Den. I didn't know it was a den, so when the Ursa Minor came back I barely escaped." Arrows said, looking at Shade.
"But you said something about the EFL. What is that exactly?" Arrows asked curiously, looking around at the rest of the settlement from the small window in the medical station.
"They are a rebel group. They overthrew Celestia and took over Equestria. For Luna's sake, have you been living under a rock?"
"Close, I was living in the forest for almost a month living off small ponds of water and berries that may have been poisonous." Arrows remarked, surprised at the same time.
"Well, I was hiding from these guys who I thought were the EFL, by the way, is their uniform the grey one with a red x through Celestias Cutie Mark? Anyway, I used my limited knowledge of medical skills to keep me well enough to find settlement. They probably stopped the search after about a week. It took me a while to find this place, so I just wandered around." Arrows said, right after receiving a paper of what he should do to recuperate faster, and getting a crutch for his broken leg and wing.
