Ok I became a brony last July but for whatever reason I didn't my parents or older brother until the end of August, same thing with my friend Josh and I can't remember when I told my girlfriend, her two sisters and her parents but regardless my friend Josh was a brony from September till about early December but he would still occasionally watch Friendship is Magic and fan made videos with me when I invited over to spend the weekend with me. Ok here's the possible reconversion part I invited him over from August 17, 2012 until yesterday afternoon and he said he was about 50/ 50 on the show now.
well, always nice to see someone liking the show again. Maybe with season 3, he'll be 100% on it again.
Yeah, when series slow down is when the fanbase shrinks a little bit, thats why i left my old forum, because the series it's based off of stopped releasing games in america, but if they pick back up with western releases I might go back there again.
I haven't asked him what his plans is though since unlike me he does not have The Hub. I don't know if he's going to watch it on Youtube when i'm not around or if he's just going to watch it at my house when he comes over. I just don't know what his plan is.
Season 3 is right around the corner. I love the anticipation for a new episode, plus it brings on new conversations, music, art, etc. I agree it can get a little stale at times between seasons.
I don't think he's sure yet but he said he would probably just watch it when hanging around with me on with weekend like he normally does. He said he might consider having a mini marathon every two to three days or every other day but I don't know if he's going to do that or even wants to do that. I can't figure out his plan.
My friend Josh somehow got The Hub and Disney XD back on Comcast even though he hasn't had either for like half a year and he told me then he's been watching several episodes of MLP FiM that came on t.v. this week as well as the other shows on The Hub that he likes such as Superman and Batman The Animated Series, Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime, GI Joe Renegades and Gi Joe Sigma 6 but as far as MLP FiM goes he told me that he has been enjoying My Little Pony alot more lately but isn't quite up to fan status yet.
I think the 'pezazz' and the 'hype' of the last season has been lost for now, but during the release of the third season, I think the show will recieve a larger reception in general. We shall see. ^-^
When I read this topic, I couldn't help but think of my younger brother. When I first started liking MLP (months before I even became a brony) he instantly thought it was stupid without even giving it a try. Later on in 2011 when I got The Hub and started the process of becoming a brony, I'd watch the episodes in the living room. My brother inevitably ended up seeing bits of it. One time he actually wanted to see part of the theme song. Eventually he gave the show a shot and liked it. He even considered himself a brony for a while. Then he stopped liking it. Then started again. Then stopped, then started... he is really, really confusing when it comes to MLP. It seemed like he hated it, but then he watched A Canterlot Wedding with me again. Then he said he hated it and was sick of hearing about it. Recently, while I was watching Baby Cakes in the living room, he walked by and said something like "Ugh, I can't help it, I love this show!" Other times when he walked by while I was watching he would say things like "Ugh" or "Oh god.". Earlier today I was watching The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 and he walked in. I was afraid he would say something mean about it (though I really do try not to care...). He kind of watched it for a minute and then said that Apple Bloom was an idiot, I guess because she wanted to agree to Flim and Flam's deal. So basically... some people can be very confusing when it comes to MLP:FiM, it seems. o.o
That's a very interesting story I guess we're in the same boat although has been watching it alot with in the last three weeks and even has a Applejack wallpaper now but I know how you feel.
My reconversion attempt has officially failed Josh told me last night that he doesn't hate the show but it's just not for him.
