I thought it might be helpful to have a relaxation thread to promote positive thoughts! We all have those times in our lives when we're overrun with stress and anxiety, often causing us to approach everything we do with negative expectations. But our perspective influences our response. If we expect the worst, no matter the actual outcome, it will seem bad. While blind optimism isn't great either, I think we could all stand to think a bit more positively sometimes What helps you deal with stress and why? What happened today that was good? (I don't mean to detract from Testyal's General Chat Thread or Snowy's How was everypony's day? thread, this is just meant to focus on the positives of the day, not the day as a whole.) Feel free to add anything else you think will be helpful for yourself/others, those two questions are just suggestions.
Oh, I like this thread! I got to go shopping for Adopt-a-Family which is when you buy Christmas presents for children who's parents can't afford it. I got to pick out a bunch of toys and little pants and stuff (although no one in my group let me add MLP toys to the cart =[). I do a lot of weird things to destress. I have a Pandora Radio station specifically for calming me down, so music definitely works. Especially if I just lay there and do nothing but listen to it. I also paint my nails, chip it off, and then paint them again because I'm wasteful and stuff (female brony for the win?) Although usually the quickest way for me to calm down is to talk to my closest friends until they convince me that I'm just being ridiculous.
How I relax? http://www.rainymood.com/ and http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=Nf8FCLT8S6A Play both while laying down with your eyes closed, maybe reading a good book. This will chill you out and make you feel like one classy pony.
Relaxation... That's one thing that's impossible for me to do. I always have to fidget with something. Mainly my hair, pencils, or my Ring. Deadpool, here I come! I do like this thread. It'll be nice to get some relaxation for other people.
Despite trying to sleep early for more job hunting tomorrow, I got up and restarted my computer to jot down details to some scenes in my fic. My mind wanders into explicit detail when I prepare for sleep and the idea and inspiration was so overwhelming, I just had to put it down. Honestly, since moving out of my uncle's, I've been far less stressed out. Though, I do wish I focused my free time on other obligations besides games. (This book sitting on my PC is going to burn a hole through it...)
Awesome! Hopefully this'll be able to help! I definitely agree on talking to friends! Venting problems is great, but the conversation doesn't even have to be about that. Just talking in general and being listened to in return is almost always helpful. However I think you should let the people in your group know that they did a great disservice to those kids! I mean really, no MLP toys? What?! Oh man, this is brilliant. Plus the music kind of reminds me of the original Sims game music. It’s relaxing and nostalgic! Glad you like it! And who knows, maybe you’ll find something relaxing after all! Spoiler: like this? I regret nothing.

Writing, reading, playing video games...all stuff that helps me relax. Interestingly enough, even writing/reading something school-related can be relaxing. Reading, definitely, although writing is hit or miss depending on if you can think of anything to actually write...*shrug* Listening to music you absolutely love is a good way to relax.
Relax means.... listening to music, reading a nice book or walking peacefully http://www.rainymood.com/ That's... superb!!!
When I get all stressed out go out and buy ponies. When I cant do that, I play video games, paint, or listen to music. Moonlight Sonata always calms me down.
