Yesterday at around 5:30 PM, one of my greatest inspirations for playing Tekken, Patrick 'ILOVEYOURMOM' Collins passed away due to a sickle cell attack. Patrick was one of the kindest and most influential FGC (Fighting Game Community) members in the Tekken scene, and he will be sorely missed. This is quite a blow for me, as he was one of the main reasons I'm so passionate about fighting games today. He's inspired me to better myself in every aspect of my play, even outside of the game. For those kind enough to help out his family with funeral costs or anything they may need, there is a donation page set up through Paypal. You can find out how to donate here. If you want to read more about it, here is the EventHubs news article about his untimely death. Please be respectful. While you may not know him, he was a great inspiration to many FGC members, including myself. Rest in peace, brother. You will be missed dearly, by family and community alike. (Please note that this isn't a joke. 'ILOVEYOURMOM' was his screen name during tournaments he participated in. So please be respectful, again.)
GOD DAMN IT !! We can all agree that we as will miss him in the fighting community. I might not be an amazing player, but fighting games have always held a place in my heart, especially Tekken. I don't know him very well, but his skill amazed me. Requiescat in pace, Patrick Collins.
