So, as everypony probably knows deviantart has tons of art on it, actually being noticed there ,unless somepony is looking for you directly, is nearly impossible meaning its extremely hard for me to get the critiques I feel I need to become a better artist; therefore, I'm going to have my little art corner here to just put up some of my pieces and such and I'd like a critique if possible, I want you to be as harsh as you can and keep in mind that almost all my stuff is drawn from some type of reference of some sort to try and achieve the highest quality possible.

With all that said I'd like and opinion on this I did for a friend of mine, its supposed to be a teaser sort of for an animation we'd like to do but still need help with.

Would still like a critique on my other art someone. <3
Also, this is a vector piece I'm working on just as pentool practice in illustrator.

Well, I am no art critic, but in the top pic, his mane looks a bit wet. Is that on purpose?

Everything else is fine to me.

I tried to make it more of a shadow but it really didn't work out how I wanted but it still came out better then I had expected.

That last piece looks puuurty sweet to me. I don't know anything about vector art to be honest, but I like what you've done.
The bed on the first image looks very shallow to me. It's almost like it's been painted on the wall. I think perhaps it's just the angle that doesn't work in its favour, as the whole image seems sort of flat. Apart from that, it looks good.

Thanks, that one was really the first time I tried to just wing it and come up with something. There's that and I have issues with depth really bad, I can't really see proportions either, its terrible for my art </3

Aw, don't worry, I'm sure you'll improve in time. My backgrounds are often sub-par, and as I said, you did well on the other iver, which is basically all background.

    Rose Wax Seal: Photoshop Practice

Just made this today in photoshop to practice my skills a bit.

I used an old vector of my OC's cutiemark and 3 circles that I edited around to get the effects I wanted.
As far as critiquing this, I want to know how realistic do you guys think it looks. Do you think it looks real enough that if it were on an envelope you wouldn't think twice about it?
