    Without the aid of Chaos Emeralds or Power Rings, Sonic's top speed is around Mach 2.
    Rainbow Dash can fly at Mach 10 after a Sonic Rainboom.
    Sonic may be able to use light speed attacks, but they have limited range, and could be avoided by a fast enough opponent.
    In a straight fight with no weapons or items, I'd give the edge to Rainbow Dash.
