Well, at least you're only posting one day too early this time... Anyway, I'm not sure what too expect with this. It's a Luna episode, which is good, but it's also a CMC episode, which tend to be fairly hit-or-miss.
Then you should be aware of the fact that the British spelling includes a silent 9, just after the batman symbol. Seasaon is a common typo.
Now, as for the actual episode, I really liked it. Granted it could all have been avoided with the most basic communication, but I guess when you're as mad and jealous as Sweetie Belle was, that's not the first thing to come to mind, so I'll let it slide. I loved LUNA in the episode! Best princess was awesome as always. The return of Sapphire Shores was pretty cool, too, though the way they presented her this time was a little more stuck up than the first time. Not sure what I think of that. I guess "eh". Aside from all that, it was pretty standard fare and entertaining.
They seemed to be trying to present Sapphire Shores as a ponified Lady Gaga... and I despise Lady Gaga. The rest of the episode was great, especially the way Luna was able to relate to Sweetie Bell being overshadowed by her older sister. Also, why does Noteworthy know so much about fashion?
Yay, good ep! Luna was great, Rarity was great (as always, of course. Loved her little freak-out in the dream-shop near the end. Reminded me of LMR), Sweetie Belle happened, I though Sapphire Shores was done well, and her exercise mane style made me happy. Um... So when it Luna gonna visit Apple Boom in a dream? Needs to happen so she's not left out. The whole 'A Christmas Carol' vibe was nice, and not TOO terribly derivative. I liked Lemon Hearts' southern accent.
This episode was pretty entertaining. One more CMC to go before I start releasing 'children of the night' theories on the interwebz. As always I'm happy to watch a CMC episode and even more-so because Luna takes a part. I liked how Luna and SB shared a connection, having an older sister that sometimes shines brighter. It makes Luna's character more believable and easier to relate to. I also liked how Luna went out of her way to ensure SB didn't have the same tragic ending that she herself had, I say ending but she came back. Luna didn't want her to hate her sister, especially not knowing the full story. Sure she's just a foal but that kind of hatred and jealously can hold on for a long time. I enjoyed the episodes moral lesson, "Make sure you have both sides of the story before you make a decision." I suppose it could also be interpreted as, "Don't jump to conclusions." I'm just happy to see Luna getting some screen time again.
I loved it! Not really a fan of 'jealousy' episodes but I thought they handled the concept well. That was a really powerful way for Sweet to go from ungrateful little you-know-what to realizing how much her sister really does love her. And Luna's role as "Ghost of Christmas Past/Present/Future" fit very well! I loved the way she talked differently in dreams and in reality. Also, gotta love that trippy dream sequence! Overall, I give it a 9/10!!! Spoiler: One more thing... ...I got a kick out of hearing Vern say je ne sais quoi! Here's why. Yes, I know that's self-indulgent as hell but I couldn't help but chuckle when I heard it.
I really liked today's episode not it did it have both best alicorn princess in it but it also had best Cutie Mark Crusader in it as well (Sweetie Belle) not Scootaloo and we also found out that not only can Princess Luna send you back in time when she enters your dreams but she can also show you the future as well all in all it was a really good episode.
I thought the episode was really... ^ best part X3 Still, i think Sweetie Belle was a little ooc in this episode. Just a little. 7/10 Actually, let's make that a 7,5 because WOONA!
Yay for Luna! A really good episode, though not the kind that you can watch over and over. Combining my two favorite ponies, there was no doubt it was great with Luna's flashbacks and dream sequences. Just the way she presented herself as an all knowing wizard of sorts was entertaining and comparing Sweetie's situation to her own past with Celestia was cool. Sweetie Belle's dilemma was interesting to watch and the moral of the episode was a great lesson. Not too sure on Sapphire Shores set up as a stuck up pop icon but it didn't ruin the vibe. I'd also would of liked to see flashbacks of Luna's relationship with Celestia, But then I tend to forget this is a twenty minute show for kids. Overall 8.5 Out Of Ten
Well I'd say that I have a new favorite season 4 episode return of sapphire shores, more than one line from spike (this season needs much more of him...), plentiful amounts of luna (with an amazingly pretty voice... Don't know if her voice was always like that but I absolutely love it), rarity, lots of sweetie belle, some scootaloo and applebloom (there have been way too many cmc episodes this season...), and sweetie belle throwing a teenage hissy fit. It's all there. Only one thing that isn't... A F***ING SONG... It's REALLY bothering me now... It was a very well written episode. Everyone seemed pretty well in character (aside from maybe fluttershy). I honestly think that a song wouldn't have worked with this episode but still... It's mlp... There has been a song in almost every episode since the beginning... ANYWAYS! I absolutely loved tgat little bit where luna connected with sweetie belle on a personal level. I have a small bit of logic issue though that doesn't impact the episode at all. Those 5 year olds had impressive vocabulary... I've never heard a five year old say "keel over" or "fiasco." This episode gets a 9.5/10... Endblock approves.
Certainly not a bad episode, but not one of my favorites either. But that's probably just because some of the other episodes in this season set the bar pretty high for me. 7.5/10
