On saturday Rarity Takes Manehattan. When Rarity attends Fashion Week, another designer copies her entire line
Well, it seems there it going to be a new pony for me to hate. Steal from Rarity? That puts you even below Spike on the unlikable scale.
Looking forward to it!! You know, I think it's safe to say Vern has risen a notch on my pony hierarchy. She's up to 5th... which means she surpassed Pinkie. Anyhoo, I saw the new clip on EqD and it turns out punctuality is not her strong suit.
It was a good episode. It felt a lot more like older episodes than the more recent ones have. I'm not a fan of how the ponies keep taking unnecessary advantage of Spike, though. Making him carry all the luggage when Twi or Rarity could have effortlessly levitated it everywhere. Rarity showed so much generosity in this episode that I honestly felt it clashed a bit with how she's been portrayed before (she's been known to be surprisingly stingy for someone who's supposed to be the Element of Generosity). That made me kind of feel bad for Spike again, seeing Rarity use those huge gems to tip the bellhop, when she gave the tiniest of gem shards to Spike to look after Opal. Also, I liked that ***** moment she had. I've always kind of expected that to happen at some point, with her being so high strung. I liked that Suri's assistant came clean in the end and the power of the mane 6's friendship made her start to believe. I'd like to see more of her. Did anyone else think that Rarity replacing herself with Suri's old assistant to help her friend (who bought out the whole theater for a private showing of Whinny on the Hills) was kind of a poor way to repay her friend's generosity? I mean, Suri's assistant is nice and I'm sure she has some talent, but Rarity's friend did that for her in exchange for Rarity's proven abilities. Also, Twilight. Your freind needs to get across town post haste. Couldn't you just, I don't know, teleport her there? Oh, and "a'ight". I thought that was just so silly I had to laugh at it.
LOVED IT!!!!! Sweet episode with a good moral. Also, I love the dichotomy of a happy song then a sad reprise. Would have liked to have seen a little justice for Suri stealing Vern's fabric but overall, I was satisfied. Also... Trench coat pony's cutie mark!!! - - Auto Merge - - Found a shot!
They finally managed to make a completely unlikeable antagonist. Suri Polomare was unremarkable in appearance, had an annoying voice, and a totally one-dimensional personality. I'm glad that she didn't get some grand comeuppance, because it would have been more screen time than she deserved. Still, it was an enjoyable episode, which introduced an interesting new location, and brought back wet mane Rarity.
Well... that was another good episode with a lot of up's and down's. Might just be me being silly but I found this episode quite emotional and was genuinely worried for Rarity and their friendship. I know most of the time, the episode ends with them learning from their mistakes and making up but this had me a little on edge as to how she was going to repay them and how the dress maker's apprentice was being treated (A character I know nothing about). I preferred the previous episodes song for it's kooky rythem but the sad song in this was nice, if a little too short. I got to agree with Yamiookami that Spike really is getting the short straw this season. Rarity's tossing gems left, right & center wheres Spike is struggling unnecessarily and getting very little payment or gratitude. Favorite scene for me has gotta be Rarity's oppressive attitude and using her friends as sweatshop workers. Overall - 8.5 out of 10
I not just saying this just because Rarity is my favorite Mane Six pony but every minute of this episode was amazing from the song to Rarity just being Rarity to Rarity winning the fashion show it was a perfect ten for me.
It was a'ight! Another enjoyable episode. I love me a Rarity episode, but I did feel she was a little too generous, despite this being her element as we see she can be rather tight or reluctant to give things away in previous episodes.
Rarity punched one of her models in the face. What a freakin' b*tch! All jokey jokes aside, twas an enjoyable episode. I really liked the metropolis setting, as it was very refreshing. The song, once again, was very meh. I don't know what it is, but all the songs after Hearts As Strong As Horses have been very sloppy. Maybe it's because they've had song after song in episode after episode, and they're running a bit dry? Regardless, I have not been impressed with the recent songs. Other than that, I don't really have much to criticize. Twas a very nice Rarity episode, and showed Rarity at her finest. Definitely fills the void season 3 left. So far, season 4 has been vastly superior to season 3, and I hope it can only get better from here~
Oh Em Gee. I really, really liked this episode. It reminded me of the older episodes (I think someone mentioned that) which I adore. The song wasn't the best, but it grabbed me eventually. I, too, actually felt emotional involvement in Rarity's fashion conquests and blunders. Spike carrying the bags, well, you know, he's good for that (see, he's not useless.. he's SuperButler!). I don't think this was mentioned, but when Applejack was actually brutally honest about Rarity's behavior, she gained points in my book. My two cents, but I think they're actively trying to bring ol apples out of the "background pony" aura she seems to get from the community. Overall, 9/10.
Am I the first one to make this connection? :Trollestia: All in all, very good episode. But as Yami said, they really overdid the generosity stuff to the point where it seemed OOC. It's not like the viewers still need to know she's generous. Also, lol'd at Rainbow Dash's opinion of musicals, but like the whole generous thing, the "a'ight" at the end seemed really out of character. I guess it was closer to the worst possible thing.
I think at this point I'm just gonna go with that she can only teleport rather short distances. And even if not, I don't think she knew where exactly Rarity's destination is to make it successful. Also, the "a'ight" was rather cringe worthy to me haha. How more annoying could you have said that.
