http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/my-...-games-ponies-play/EP013304160066?aid=zap2it/ Princess Cadance invites Twilight and her friends to welcome the important Equestria Games inspector.
Pony Olympics? Lemme guess, Rainbow Dash and Applejack are going to compete over who wins the most events.
on December 9, 2012 said that "someone might go crazy" in this episode and that "TS goes a little goofy" in this episode, on January 2, 2013 said that this episode's title was changed, and on January 5, 2013 said that this episode has nothing to do with the following episode other than possible character development or other normal progressions and that this episode isn't a Rarity episode or a Pip episode. A background from this episode can be seen here◊, showing a new stadium for the Equestria Games built behind the tower in the Crystal Kingdom.
What I find interesting is this seems like it should be the first half of a 2-parter, because the synopsis only talks about the preparations for the games and not the games themselves. However, they already stated that the finale will only be a 1-parter, so this must be a one-parter too. I suppose it could be like the way they did it with the Gala, where it wasn't multiple parts but they had two (or in this case one) episodes in the season that had events preparing and building anticipation for it, but that too seems unlikely because this one is right before the finale and not a few episodes prior to it.
Sounds like a fun episode, looking forward to it. Now we just sit back and wait to see what the final episode will be.
I really hope the season 3 finale isn't like the season 2 one, where they give us some huge event that hasn't been hinted at whatsoever until then and introduces some new characters who you would think should have been shown or at least mentioned a long time before then. Hopefully it will be more like the season 1 finale, where it's some kind of event we could have at least seen coming based on other events of the season. Maybe it will be the Equestria Games themselves. That would mean this episode would be to the season 3 finale what Ticket Master and Suited for Success were to the Best Night Ever; not quite part one and part 2 of the same plot, but a setup episode where they introduce and prepare for the event of the finale. I know that seems kinda unlikely because the finale is only a one-parter, but I suppose technically this could be done without looking like 2 parts; as long as it doesn't end with a cliffhanger it could still be called a one-parter.
This episode sounds like it's going to be a good episode and I'm always glad to see Princess Cadence too bad I have to wait till the middle of February.
The second part of it could be in s4 I suppose, why not? *sigh* Sorry Rarity, you did not get an episode this season. I'll send you some roses and a carton of Ben & Jerry's.
first of official teaser is out: http://www.derpyhoovesnews.com/preview-of-games-ponies-play-via-io9/ seems like we'll have Rarity episode (finally)
The reason I didn't include Twilight Sparkle in the alicorn princess list and say four alicorn princesses instead of three is because even though we all know she's going to become a alicorn princess it hasn't happened yet.
