This seemed like the MLP take on the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Also, it reminded me of that Calvin and Hobbes story where he has, like, 15 duplicates. Did anypony else think of that? Also also: "I'm Spartacus!" "No, I'm Spartacus!" "No, I am!" "Me too!" "Same here!" etc.
I loved it! Just when we thought Pinkie couldn't get weirder. There were a few of 'What?' moments; My favourite's are the fingers and the G3 face (which would have been funnier if it wasn't in the trailer). I thought it was getting pretty tense near the end, and Twilight might choose the wrong one. But it all turned out okay. Its great to have the show back
How do we know she didn't choose the wrong one? It occured to me that they could be setting up their own "Clone Saga" ala Spider-Man. That would make for an awesome season finale, actually.
I believe this episode made me like Pinkie a bit more than Spikey-wikey. I loved the part where she dived into the pool all Pinkie-like.
I really wouldn't call the first 2 a "reference." It's more of a coincidence. I don't think this episode had enough Pinkie Pies.
I think my brain just melted. I liked it though, just one minor gripe, why did not Twilight figure out that obviously the Pinkie Pie that stood out by being sad was the real one, she who is so smart? But I guess her field is not really being social so she might have missed minor behaviour signs.
Great episode with several funny Pinkie Pie moments. This episode is currently my favorite Season 3 episode and we still have nine more to go so that's saying alot although that might change with a future episode but yeah there you go.
Putting aside the fact that isolating the real Pinkie Pie shouldn't have been very hard (one looking depressed and displaying intelligent thought versus the others bouncing around like they're on something displaying no signs of intelligence whatsoever), this was a fun episode. I waited to watch an HD version online, and boy am I glad I did. This show's animation is simply beautiful, and the vibrancy of the animation makes me glad I invested in an HD monitor. God, that G3 pony face was... remarkable. Even though I also thought of that fanfic when Twilight pulled out the painted wall, I also wouldn't count that as some sort of Brony reference. It's just a good, generic boring activity. Really glad to see Rainbow still enjoys her books.
Ya know, it just occured to me that they might have put all the crazy stuff in this episode specifically to generate memes. It worked.
I enjoyed this episode, nice to see Dave Polskey do another Pony ep. *Speaking of which is it just me or does he like to write Pinkie calling RD ''Dashie"? XD* But yeah overall for me I'd say Pros - Pinkie Messing up Twilights Spell *that poor bird & frog* - Spike had some funny moments at the start with the orange comment & at the end with the popcorn - Lots of Funny lines from Pinkie -Pinkie screwing Logic & Physics as usual - Sad Pinkie is cute as happy Pinkie *how does that work!?* Cons - Clones were as annoying as the sea-gulls from Finding Nemo * still waiting for FUN FUN VS MINE MINE Remix* - Lots of Nightmare fuel in this ep *An army of Pinkies is adorably scary enough, let alone ones that can make G3 faces & grow finger, plus Twilights Genocide of the Pinkie clones or Pinkiecide as I like to call it disturbs me. Overall though A fun episode, i'd give it a 3.5/5 overall.
