Ladies and gents, The short promo for the season 3 finale Welll....buck. Opions?
Feb 16th!? that's bloody ages away i didn't like how the advert was just a summary of season 3, it's like; " well yeah, i know what happened, i saw it for myself" (then again it's made for kids) I wish they went into more detail about the finale, like they did for the season 2 finale.
Princess Coronation? Princess Twilight Sparkle Alicorn NOOOOOOO. :ahh: Maybe I should not panic yet .
AHH. Twilight's really becoming an Alicorn. It's really happening. I thought it would, then I had doubts, the I realised it was a stupid thought, then it happened. All my fears... WHY!!!? *Hugs legs on floor, twitching*
The only reason I am against alicorn Twi is really the accocoation of that rumour with the rumour about Derpy never appearing again really. I am more afraid of a commercially forced alicornification than one in general. The writers know what they are doing.
I still think it would be funny if it was Princess Cadance's coronation. I mean, the only episode they've talked about a destiny is in the Crystal Empire episode, which was ultimately saved by Cadance considering she caught Spike and put the heart back into it's rightful place. They never said in the trailer that it was Twilight's coronation. With Sombra not ruling over it any more, Cadance would be the ideal choice to be princess of the Crystal Kingdom, thus she'd need a coronation. Studio B could be trollin' us, but either way, I don't think Twilight would become a princess because she'd want to be with her friends, not in a castle. If she does become an alicorn that, what, just means she can fly now? If you think about it she was already a very powerful unicorn. I think she's Celestia's heir, but she won't be called up straight away in the end because Celestia would understand she wants to be on adventures with her friends, and that her destiny can wait.
Exactly, and they showed that the second-last episode of the season is taking place at the Crystal Empire. In the second-last episode of the season, they will be at the Crystal Empire preparing for the Equestria Games; such games would serve as the perfect precursor to a royal coronation. Because the Crystal Empire doesn't have a ruler right now, and Cadance was described as the "crystal princess," it only makes sense that this would be her coronation as princess of the Crystal Empire.
Let's all calm down and actually wait to see what actually happens. Remember what happened when Twilight judged a book by its cover when she could have found the cure to poison joke? Let's watch it all play out.
Does anyone know if that's a real promo? Cause according to this the finale episode title and description doesn't seem to have anything to do with the above promo. Are we being Trolled? :Trollestia:
Spoiler This episode isn't titled "Goodbye Ponyville", even originally, though it may be a fitting title , and isn't part of a two-part finale. Awesome Moment of Crowning: This episode marks the celebration of The Hub's "My Little Pony Princess Coronation" event, meaning a pony is likely crowned princess in this episode, considering "A Canterlot Wedding" was aired during a similar Hub event called "Royal Wedding". Swapped Roles: A spell Twilight casts presumably does this to ponies by switching their cutie marks, and therefore their purpose in life. Jocelan Thiessen called this episode her favorite of the season "for sure."
I don't know what to believe. The official synopsis of the finale doesn't say anything about a coronation, but the commercial says there's a coronation involved in it.
How confusing and oddly amusing. Really makes me interested in what happens the rest of the way this season.
Did anyone actually see it on the Hub? Or have you guys only seen it on Youtube? Don't get the Hub here, so have no way of knowing... If nobodies seen it on the Hub, then it's possibly and probably fake, and I think it'd be reasonably easy to fake too. They've only used footage that's been released already too, which'd be pretty easy to get to... If it's been genuinely seen on the Hub, then I haven't got a clue.
If there was a time to play the promo it would have been during today's episode. There was a contest promo for next week to win a trip to LA for what they called a "Coronation Concert" but it wasn't very specific as to when the concert would be held.
Here's something to keep in mind: They said somepony is becoming a princess; they DIDN'T say somepony is becoming an Alicorn. As we've seen with Prince Blueblood, you don't need to be an Alicorn to be a prince or princess in Equestria. Even if Twilight becomes a princess, that doesn't mean she's going to become an Alicorn; she can be a princess and stay a unicorn. After all, Shining Armor became a prince when he married Cadance but he's still a unicorn.
*Facepalm* oh no, not that, anything but that. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before, but I think I know who’s being crowned princess. It’s that Sweetie Belle recolor Princess SKYLA! Just like Cadance and Shining Armor, she was advertised even before the season started. Before season 2, they showed images of Cadance and Shining Armor, although they didn’t say what they were going to do in the show or even if they were going to appear in the show period. This is the same dang thing, but it’s a young princess getting her crown as opposed to a teen princess getting married.
Oh dear. I don't believe in the whole "Alicorn Twilight" thing (I think that was just the mistake of a Hasbro stock artist) but right after I heard the words "achieving her destiny," I said, "****." I have no problem with the concept, in fact it could be executed really well, especially with an intellectual character like Twilight who has developed so much over the course of the series. But I don't think the show is done yet. I know it has to end sometime, but there are so many routes they can go with these characters, so many new settings and stories they can try, and we all know that with the brony fanbase and plugs from other companies that cater to bronies,(WeLoveFine, Hot Topic, etc.) MLP:FiM has been one of Hasbro's biggest moneymaking staples. My biggest worry will be if this is the end....but even then, I still have doubts, because they would've made the ending of a great series cleverly hinted at and built up to the occasion. But I digress. We'll just have to wait and see.
