OK, I know I'm not the only one who was thinking this... WHAT A BUNCH OF YAKASSES!!! I feel like in the end they may or may not have learned their lesson... I'm hoping yes though. I enjoyed it though. Also, Pony Pinkie is also a drummer!!! The Beatles album covers (Abbey Road and Sgt. Peppers) was a cool reference too!! Overall, I'll give it a 6.5/10.
This episode was a wild ride. Very strange pacing and in places it didn't feel very FiM-like. However, it somehow came out being my favorite S5 episode so far by a wide margin. I really liked this episode, actually. xD The whole "Pinkie Pie Joins The Beatles" is one of my favorite jokes in the show ever now. It was so nonsensical and silly, was a very fun reference, AND on top of all of that showed that the show really knows how to laugh at itself: It pokes fun at how ridiculous the pacing was in this episode, which also pokes fun at those who were sitting there ready to tear apart the episode for the distances Pinkie Pie was able to travel in one afternoon. Brilliant.
Ugh, what a nonsensical, lazy, stupid episode. At least Princess Spike had a relatively coherent storyline, even if the moral was wrong. This was just total nonsense, worst episode of the season so far.
I enjoyed this episode. Pinkie Pie randomness is always a good thing. For me at least. I kind of feel like I'm the only one that feels like the Yaks were... kind of being jerks. Regardless this was actually kind of a funny episode. I liked it.
