I just can't wrap my head around the whole "teaching at the School of Friendship" thing. The Crusaders already helped Ponies in need and taught them valuable life lessons. The entire point of "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" (and the entire reason why I call them "the Crusaders" and not "the Cutie Mark Crusaders") is that they found their destiny...to help those in need, to be both mentors and protectors. They were doing pretty fine before, doing it from their own place. Being a teacher isn't all fun and games. It means a lot of responsabilities...the Crusaders are pre-teens...they are not old enough to be proper teachers. And the Mane Six should have known that. Besides, what do you think will happen once Neighsay or the E.E.A. (or both) find out about this? This is why this episode needed a speaking part for Cheerilee...to explain that, while teaching LOOKS easy, it's not something fillies should be doing.
Dear Princess Celestia, Maybe Neighsay is right? What is Twilight actually teaching? Are these friendship lessons in lieu of regular schooling? That's the impression I got when Twilight compared her classes to Cheerilee's. Or is this a roundabout way of showing us that standardized testing is needed so we know that children are learning math and science? Is Twilight also teaching them that Equestria is flat and that Luna is part of some shadow government? And why is she denying entry to students and then still demanding they listen to her authority in a school capacity? I get the feeling that Twilight's school will not pass standard accrediting. Yours with some worries, Dragonbait
Spoiler I've been avoiding spoilers as best I can this season and, while I don't know anything for certain, something seems VERY off about Cozy Glow. Also, this is a thing!! Overall: 7/10
