Who wants to live forever? For as long as she has memory, Celestia has been an Alicorn. A breed of Pony blessed by the Elder Gods with infinite power, power beyond that of any unicorn, power equaled only by Draconequui. She ages slower. She lives longer. She rules Equestria with the right mixture of compassion and strictness. The Mane Six come to her for guidance, advice, support. And she gives it, to the best of her abilities. But Celestia envies the simple life of mortal ponies. And now, Twilight Sparkle, her former student and fellow Alicorn, has offered Celestia a part in a play. Can this be the chance she so longed for? To enjoy the simpler pleasures in life? To be more than just a mentor? More than just a empress? More than just a goddess?
Wow!! I actually managed to post on the day of the actual episode again!! This episode had its fair share of internal conflict, comedy, and groan inducing "Listen to Applejack" moments. It of course, all culminates in Tia proving that she is not cut out for the stage and Sparky realizing too little too late that sparing another's feelings, while done with good intent, can be more detrimental than constructive criticism. In the words of Smokey from Cars 3, "The truth's always quicker, kid." Tidbits: Sparky's face when Tia says she'll do it... *squeeing intensifies*... Also, seeing Tia get excited NEVER gets old. Starlight's comment about not being a "princess" princess is probably the first time since her reformation that I wished she would've kept that comment to herself. *slaps wrist and wags finger* Overall: 7/10 Still love you though, Glims!! ^U^ Were those first few parts a reference to something?
I like this episode because it shows a goofier side of Luna. It's nice to see her having fun being part of the play. And no, the thread starter isn't really being based on anything. I just wanted to add a sense of drama to the premise.
