Remember how, at the end opf the season, Celestia and Luna will abdicate the throne and the Mane Six will become the new Empresses of Equestria. Well, Celestia and Luna are going on a vacation for the weekend, meaning that for the weekend, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie and Applejack will be in charge of Equestria. And writing this episode is none other than legendary comic book writer Gail Simone, the one who wrote one of the best runs on Wonder Woman!
This was a great mid-season finale. It shows that the Mane Six are ready to inherit the thrones of Equestria, and the scene with the giant turtle shows that they are ready to face any foe that comes their way.
