I already mentioned MLPMA but I was thinking in using another thread so we could share albums that are no longer available for free, perhaps one of you has it. As an example of that I will mention this: http://bronynumberthre3.bandcamp.com/album/what-we-built It was for free but it is now impossible to get it unless you pay, my guess is that if it was once free then the artist might not have any issue with us if we share it. There are several other albums in the same condition, so ask, maybe one of us has it.
I wouldn't be too quick with saying it was the artists intention to charge for that album. I happen to use bandcamp for my music hosting as well link And bandcamp has a set of rules when it comes to free downloads in regards to what type of accounbt you set up. Free accounts get 200 free downloads a year (meaning fans can download 200 tracks or albums a month) and is reset back to 200 every month. If no one downloads your songs freely you get a "backpay" of downloads meaning you get 200 every month on top of your original 200 if you have less then 200 at the end of the month it gets reset. Balloon Party has this problem in regards to initial releases, you will see ballon party albums usually at the end of the month start costing money. That's how Bandcamp covers your music, instead of just refusing to allow fans to download your tracks at all they default the prices back to normal (and that depends on if it is an album etc. And sometime they will do a "Pay What you want with a minimum" like you can see on his site. I do a "Pay What You Want with No Minimum" and I will get Defaulted occasionally (Like when i was featured on eqd two days in arow... x.x) So I'd wait to see what happens after this month instead of using EPN as a Pony Napster.... It also is something i think the Moderators would appreciate not having their site be used as.
Never had intentions to hurt the Indie community, I meant it in a broader way, like sharing stuff of SGAP, all the songs were once available for download, that's no longer the case and you can't even access the song unless you have the link to it and of course people already created a way for you to download ALL of it, just like this website http://sogreatandpowerful.com/ Sharing this kind of information and downloadables is what I had in mind. Some guys have the music by H8_seed, some guys miss Psychedelic Brony who happens to have sent me his music before his departure. I hope this clarifies what I want.
