I'm going to a new school next year (7th grade) and its a public school (I'm currently in a private). In my current school there's only one class room per grade. So its kind of easy to keep my love for the show and the fan base hidden. But my whole class does already know (13 kids). And they don't really seem to care.

I'm not sure weather or not I should tell the kids that i'll meet in my new school that I'm a brony. You know for the sake of be being beat up or bullied. Ive only been a brony for about 2-3 months now and ive seen all of the episodes and currently watch them. But im not one of the bronys who constantly complain about all the surpising happenings in the show, like the current twilight becoming an alicorn.

So i hope you reply and dont hate me for only being 12(Should have pointed that out earlier XD)

    Good bye!

It can be quite difficult to tell people you're into My little pony: Friendship is Magic, you will get some people reacting to it in a... not so nice way. Like SunBurn said, observe. Don't go all out: I'M A BRONY OMG!!! You'll regret that. Really there's no need to tell people you're in to it. But if you have to, explain them why, the better you do this, the less chance you'll have being bullied. Unfortunately you will find some people trying to take advantage of the fact that you enjoy a show aimed at: ''Young girls''. If you're going to tell them, you have to be strong. My advice: Don't bother if there's no reason to.

Also: We love and tolerate anyone in the brony community, regardless if their age, race, gender or sexual orientation. Welcome!

I wouldn't, but that's just me. It's a new school and people will most likely assume the worst. I would wait. Make some good friends, and confide in them when you gain their trust if you really want to tell someone.

There's no need to bring it up really. While there's nothing wrong with enjoying a TV show, others aren't as open-minded (especially younger people). My advice is to not really mention it unless it's somehow brought up in a conversation.

If the topic comes up, join the conversation. Otherwise, it's not important enough to risk alienating people.
