Personally, I always feel like people (or ponies) should be given a second chance when they make mistakes. Dusty is no different. She can learn from her mistakes and be a better pony for it. Of course, I would require her to complete 40hrs. of remedial teamwork and safety classes and wait a year before her request is reviewed and decided upon. (That sounds professional, right?) A written apology to the cadets and instructors might grease the wheels as well. IDK, what do y'all think?
Assuming she was kicked out, yes. Her teamwork may have been lousy, but her skills and passion for flying should not be ignored. She's by far my favorite side character. No pony deserves all the hate that she gets. Ugh, thinking about it is stressing me out. Love and tolerance....bah! They really need some Lightning Dust merch already. I sure hope we get a brushable just like we did with Trixie.
well yeah, I'd give her new chance. However, I wouldn't put her ad lead pony, but more as following member.
Rainbow Dash has Lightning Dust. Twilight Sparkle has Trixie. I wonder if the other ponies will get rivals, too?
Well, Pinkie Pie had her very own clone army. I'd guess that counts. But yeah, I don't see why she shouldn't get a chance to redeem herself. I mean, even Discord got one after all.
Fluttershy and Rarity don't really have any rivals but I think that The Flim Flam Brothers should return and seek revenge on The Apple Family. (Just the ones who live in Ponyville not the entire Apple Family, you know as in Applejack, Applebloom, Big Macintosh and Granny Smith only)

I like that alternate ending more, will think/pretend that it's canon now. Anyway, hopefully we'll get to see more from Lightning Dust in the future. Maybe she can earn her "true" canon redemption like Trixie did when she returned.
