One day, sometime between twenty-four and forty-eight hours after returning your I.S.B.E., Inc. Personal Temporary Assistant Application, you hear a knock on the door of your office or home. Answering it, you would find a dragon, roughly coming up to the height of your chin. This dragon is noticeably female, as evidenced by her long eyelashes which accentuate her yellow, catlike eyes. She is covered head to claw in bluish scales, with a yellowish belly and dark blue finlike scales that run along her back, down to the tip of her whip-like tail. Over her shoulder, she is carrying a small, white satchel, adorned with the I.S.B.E. Inc. logo, a red heart with the letters “ISBE” stenciled over it. Without a word, she reaches into her pouch and pulls out a tiny slip of paper. She reads the paper, then looks at you, then reads the paper once more, probably verifying that she’s arrived at the correct place. After a few moments, she finally speaks. “H-h-hello. My n-n-name is F-finny. I’m going to be y-…your t-t-tem- Temporary Assistant.” She examines her claw for a second, then extends it toward you. “It’s a p-p-pleasure to m-m-meet you.” She smiles at you warmly, probably awaiting some sort of response.
relic shock her outstretched arm "Well finny you've arrived just in time. I am about to open shop so if do an inventory check in the back then you can help out front. May I ask what's your knowledge on ancient relics".
After shaking Relic's hoof, Finny smiled brightly and stepped inside. After depositing her satchel, she glanced around the shop, seeming to take everything in. After a few moments, she replied, "M-m-my knowledge of an-ancient artifacts is p-p-pretty ex-ex-extensive." After speaking, she blinked a couple of times and shook her head. "I-I'm ready to-to-to do your i-i-inventory check n-now." "P-please lead the w-w-way," she added with a smile.
Okay if you could step behind the counter its the 2nd on the right. The guest room where you'll be staying is up the stairs and the 3rd on the left. I also left a little gift there for you. It's a White trilby so you look the part of a relic hunter more". He guided the dragon to the door opening it to see a large room filled with shelves, chests, books and crates. "here is the list of everything here for you and if you need me I'll be in the front dealing with customers once done you can take a break and explore the upstairs living quarters or help up front".
Finny hopped up and down excitedly, then immediately scanned the area, turning herself completely around a few times. After that, she walked up the stairs and made her way toward the guest room that Silver Relic had prepared for her. Momentarily, she returned, the trilby upon her head. "Th-thank you v-v-very much for this g-g-gift!" she chirped. Suddenly, she stopped and stared blankly into space for a second or two. Then, she immediately set to checking the inventory as if nothing had happened, smiling and whistling a tune the entire time.
"Seems like she can handle herself. Now it seems like we got ourselves a customer". He then turned around to great the customer. "Welcome to Silver's relic emporium, the home of relics from the ancient to the odd. How may I help you today".
As the customer came in, Finny peeked out from behind the counter, watching the exchange intently. The customer, meanwhile, replied, "Ah, yes, I'm inquiring about a certain...chalice...that I heard you might have. It's golden in color and rimmed with jade stones." Finny blinked a couple of times, then dove under the counter in search of such an item.
"I believe we do my new assisstant should be looking for it now I'll just check on her.". Silver trotted to the doorway to check on Finny. "Fin, have we got golden and blue Jade chalice. The chalice/goblet section should be the 4th and 5th shelves from the left".
Finny, having recieved her order, saluted Relic with gusto and dashed off into the storeroom to find the chalice. "Y-yes, sir!" After a few moments of rummaging around, she returned to Relic's side, quite downtrodden. "S-sir...I'm s-s-sorry... It is t-t-too h-high for me to r-r-r-reach..." She looked around and asked, "Is th-th-there a s-s-stepladder I could u-u-use?"
"Dont worry, I dont normally have assistance so i just use magic to get things down but I could bring down one of the dining room chairs from upstairs that should give you enough of a boost". with that said silver trotted up the stairs and came back down a wooden chair in a field of magic. "Here you go Fin and at this rate I could consider hiring you permanently". He said with a smile placing down the chair for finny
Finny smiled, but shook her head. "Oh n-n-no, sir. I c-can't possibly st-stay f-forever. I-I-I.S.B.E. w-won't allow i-i-it." After the chair was placed on the ground, Finny walked around it, examining it from top to bottom. Then, she smiled and nodded in satisfaction. Without saying a word, she climbed up on the chair and then stood on her tip toes to reach the chalice. The chair creaked slightly as she swayed back and forth. After a short while, Finny was successful in her task, gleefully taking the chalice in her claw. She hopped form the chair and she landed with a *THUD* on her two feet. She held the chalice up triumphantly. "H-h-here you are s-s-sir!"
"hmmm, how about you go up front for a bit. Let's see how well you are at selling and working the counter". Silver smiled
Finny smiled broadly and saluted her employer as she presented the chalice to the customer. "T-that'll be t-t-two thousand b-b-bits." Her smile remained plastered to her face the entire time. The customer, however, wasn't as amused. "Two-thousand?! Are you running some kind of scam?" Finny blinked in surprise. "N-n-no, sir! Th-th-this is a l-legal es-establishment, th-th-the-" "Spit it out!" At this, Finny's grip tightened on the chalice, bending it slightly. She gave the customer a hard stare before continuing, her words slow and steady. "This...is a...legal...establishment...the paperwork...for...which...can be...found...at..." She paused for a moment. "The town hall." The customer's eye twitched slightly. "Are you a smart alec?" Finny kept her razor-sharp stare locked on the customer. "No. I am a dragon." The customer glanced over at Silver Relic as if to say, "Really? You hired this dope?"
