Golden Lace walked the streets of Canterlot, bobbing and weaving through the high society crowd. She was on her way to the the paint store to by a few more colors for her project. She entered the store moments later and moved to the back where the paints occupied a large wall.
Fire Bolt walked into the store, clunky guard helmet still on his head. "Hey! I said I would get you some paint after work. Too long?" He asked, running up and nuzzling her. "'Least let me carry it for you." He compensated, taking each container down as she picked them.
Lace giggled, "My paint was drying I can't blend the colors if it's dry." she picked a few more colors and levitated them to the pile. "and besides I wanted to look at the other colors."
"You're cute. Now, back on topic." Bolt flirted. "How are you doing on this project and when can I know what it is?" Bolt asked curiously.
"It's almost finished, hopefully tomorrow but you can't see it." they walked to the cashier who scanned the paints, eyeing the couple annoyed. Lace laid down the bits giving a thank you smile and grabbed the paints.
The cashier mumbled something rude as she set aside the helmet to help another customer. When they were out side and safe from the ears of the Cashier, Lace spoke, "Somepony woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
"She deserved that helmet to the face." Bolt agreed. "Can I fly us home, my dear?" He asked, still helping with the paint.
Bolt blushed and smiled. "I have the best life anypony could ask for." He sighed happily. He put Lace on his back and flew to their suite in downtown Canterlot. He flew in the bedroom window and set Lace on the floor gently. "Here we are." He said.
"Thank you!" Lace took the paints and tossed them lightly into her studio making sure Bolt doesn't see the artwork. "I put enough layers of paint so it wont be dry for another hour or so." she smiled happily
"I could heat the moisture out. Works just like drying. If you want." Bolt offered. "I just wanna spend time with you tonight. I have the day off tomorrow, by the way." Bolt told Lace.
"Dont worry about it." she brightened up when she heard, "Do you really get tomorrow off? You hardly ever have the day off!"
"This is amazing!" she hugged him happily. "The possibilities of what we can do tomorrow!" Lace began planning the big day. "Wow im probably getting way to excited about this." she laughed embarrassed.
He turned her head and quickly kissed her. "No. You're not. You're happy. There's nothing up with that." He said.
"I suppose your right." she kissed him again "But seriously what do we want to do tomorrow?" her purple eyes glanced up at Bolt's full of happiness.
"I could take you up to Cloudsdale. Cast a cloudwalking spell, show you around. I turned down ruling Cloudsdale, you know. Picked you over some dumb cloud." Bolt offered.
