Hello skyrim players... I'm having a major issue... I play on Xbox (don't throw a fit, I can't afford a gaming computer) and it has taken to taking literally 1 1/2-2 hours to do the initial load... I've cleared the cache and the system memory, deleted all of my saves but the latest 3, and set up a fan to help cool the system off... I want to know if there is any fix for this or if ill need to get a new disc... Also, if I buy the legendary edition will it load the saves from the original game?
The Legendary Edition will load saves from the original. As for the disk problems, you may be able to shorten load times by installing the game to the Xbox hard drive. It takes a long time to install, but it's worth the wait for the improved performance.
I didn't install any mods until after i got the legendary edition. Might be obvious, but have you checked the disc for any excessive scratches? You can get it (mostly) de-scratched at most game stores though.
thank you for the input on the legendary edition, but if it's my disc then I don't want to install it onto my system with all the issues... Cuz that would be pointless... I have and there are no SIGNIFICANT scratches but there are about 5 smaller scratches... Armed with the knowledge that legendary edition will load normal saves, I think that's gonna be the way I go here...
Sounds like an extreme case of savegame bloat. You've patched the game to the most recent title update, right?
The ISO on the disc would not have any issues if that's what you're concerned about. The only issue that prevents reading are physical issues, scratches or dirt on the disc. You can't screw up an Xbox install, it either works or it doesn't. And the doesn't is only if it can't read it. There's no consequence, just do it. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Yeah, when my Fable II CD got scratched to hell cause I accidentally kicked over my xbox, I just had to keep attempting to install it to HD until I finally got lucky and it worked after that was able to play it no probs. If the fan you got is one that plugs in to the back, I'd actually recommend removing it, most people have reported that those fans actually CAUSE heating issues instead of solving them.
