Glad you like them~ Admitably, I was only able to do as much as the creator can allow in the game, which is quite a bit. Though I did admitably make this a bit of a rushed creation, since I normally spend a unreasonable amount time with creating characters normally.
Honestly, that depends on what you prefer more from the game. If you are in it for Character Creation, then yeah it's a huge improvement over previous ones. For the actual fighting game part of it. I'd say it about as good as it's always been. But that's my opinion on it. So yeah, the gameplay is subjective.
Game play in five was weird. You didn't really have an arcade mode you just had the story mode and story mode got annoying cause you couldn't choose who you wanted to be.
There is a arcade mode in SC6. The main story has you playing a custom character. So you can go in playing your best fighting style~ I think the story mode is called Libra of Souls. One downside of SC6 is that some of the cast is locked behind DLC. And 2 out of the 6 custom character outfit pack addons are tied to season pass one, while the rest are tied to season pass 2. I have all the addons and character DLC, but that's only because I had the money to do it this month.
I'd probably save for em myself I did that for IV. IV was probably my favorite so far. It be cool if they re-release the first one. I loved Soul Caliber Arcade in Korea. Even had the record on the machine for a bit.
I really never got a chance to play the first Soul Calibur. I played Soul Edge and then jumped to Soul Calibur II. Playing the series from that point on. And yes. Soul Calibur IV is very good, though I have to say Soul Calibur III is my personal favorite~ I played the hell out of SCIII~
Yes. Hilda is introduced as part of the main cast in SCIV. Starkiller, Yoda, and Darth Vader were guest fighters. In SCIII Olcadan and Abyss were introduced as guest fighters. Zasalamel, Setsuka and Tira were introduced to the main cast. Night Terror was introduced as the big bad guy.
