Some of my friends who gave me those were bronies, others wernt. Some nonbrony friends just gave me normal stuff too.

Although they get annoyed at our constant pony talk, my nonbrony friends are really good about it, its my family that I'm worried abbout

Next time your dad asks, just counter 'Does it matter?'.
My Mom was a little judgmental at first, which is odd considering she supports all my other interests. But once she saw some episodes and I was persistent with talking about it, now she's totally cool with it.
I wouldn't worry to much about your family, unless they're the sort that would throw you out, if not, you might get teased but if they're cool, they might support your interests.
Good thing you got friends that will support you. Wish my friends would get me pony stuff, but most of them aren't bronies.

Good advice. My moms just amused because normaly I act old for my age, amd my brother constantly teases me. My dad-if he found out would just silently judge me, so I guess I could deal with it.

Most parents just want to make sure their kids are happy and well adjusted. I tend to act old for my age too, but I'm a fangirl, so my family is use to me getting fan merchandise, they were just surprised I was into My Little Pony, given they assumed it was like the old versions that were clearly meant for very young children. My Grandma likes to support my interests and she helped me pick out pony merchandise last time I was at the store. My best friend was cool with it, and I send him pony videos every now and then and that's how he's familar with the show, I think he looks like a human version of Discord, so he's willing to run with it a little bit to make me happy. My Mother was judgemental at first, she'll even admit she called Bronies 'sad little boys living in their parents basements covered in cheeto dust and shame', but after I talked to her about the community and she met a couple Bronies, she realizes they're no different than my Trekkie or Superwholock friends. You're parents might judge at first, and silently judge you, but if you stay cool, collected and treat it like no big deal, they'll probably get over it and then- well then you'll be able to get more pony stuff for the holidays.

Yeah, my family always things of the old versions.

I actually do live in my parents basement, but it happens to be because I'm a kid and my bedroom is in the basement lol

I live with my mom, mostly because we're both disabled, it's also better for us financially since I'm the main income earner and I do the cooking. It just works out better and besides we're really close. Course people do have that vision in their head that if you don't move out right when your 18 then obviously somethings wrong with you. Most of the foreign exchange students I tutored thought it was completely normal, however, most of my other college classmates thought it was pathetic and weird.
