I've just recently found myself in a place called the MLP FiM fandom, and I have to say that it's probably the most interesting show I have watched in several years. I've been a member of a Sonic the Hedgehog forum for many years, and my interest in that series has since waned quite a bit, so I'm hoping to replace what is missing with ponies. How did you know?! D= I think you either love Tails in that game because you played as him more than Sonic, which I'm guilty of, or loathe him because he dies constantly when he follows you. And he looses all your rings in the special stages. <.<; Thanks to everypony for the warm welcome by the way.
Hahaha, it's kinda funny - even though he's virtually identical to Sonic in Sonic 2 except he can't move in his own right (being that the cam follows Sonic), and not to mention he's not in the final levels (not sure if the control trick works when he's piloting the plane) nor can he go Super Sonic, I remember fighting with my friends when I was like 9 or so (and of course didn't know of the handy little option to play as just him instead of Sonic and Tails) to play as him with the second controller. Btw, Sonic 3 super tails glitch ftw
do you mean taking control of tails in the single player in sonic 2? i used to do that, i never got to the oil level namly because i would get lost in the forset D:

LOL yes, I would always play as Tails in single player. I'm not sure that I've ever beaten the game with Sonic, but I've done so with Tails many times. Oil Ocean is one of my favorite zones from that game, if only for the music, and how dark the whole place seemed. An entire ocean filled with oil, it reminds me why I'm not such a big fan of the newer games, since they don't have the whole 90's anti-pollution message thing going on. I think it made for some really wicked level designs, especially in Sonic CD with all of its creepy corrupted worlds and whatnot.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes Sonic CD is without a doubt the best Sonic game that has ever existed and I to this day scream to the heavens why my copy of the Dino version (the one that came packed with PCs in like 1990s, it's the same game the inner workings of the game are a little different though so it doesn't work on newer computers while the store bought version does) of the game cannot run on my new laptop.
