Discord appeared in his house and started pacing up and down in panic. "Oh this is terrible, just terrible!" How could he fall in love with Chrysalis?! He just knew this was going to ruin their friendship! ~~~~~ Celestia blinked in surprise as Discord disappeared. "Well that was... strange."
Chrysalis tilts her head and she sighs. She knows that discordant nut is up to something, that being said that the discordant nut is her friend after all. She heads on out too and figures the one place he would go as a safe haven is the cottage near the forest. No other place would make sense, not that what Discord does normally in life nay made sense to begin with.
Fluttershy was back home by the time Chrysalis arrived at the cottage; she was just packing her things for her stay in Canterlot with the rest of the mane six. "Oh, hello Chrysalis," She said, a little surprised. "What brings you here? Um, if you don't mind me asking?" (Discord's at his house, where Chysalis hasn't been yet. Fluttershy will help her get there though )
Chrysalis sighs and she looks around. "Is Discord around? He kinda disappeared and I've practically flipped Ponyville upside down trying to find home." Chrysalis says, seemingly genuinely curious.
"Oh, um, disappeared?" Fluttershy said, obviously a little concerned. "He didn't tell you where he was going?" She fiddled with her hooves a little, wondering whether she should tell Chrysalis what Discord had told her, about what to do if she couldn't find him. She weighed it up in her mind for a moment, then decided she should. "Well, um, he told me that if I ever needed to find him, I should put these on and click my hooves together three times," She explained, rummaging around and holding up a pair of red horseshoes. "I've never had to do it though, so I don't know what will happen."
Chrysalis at first though she was joking, but from her tone she could tell she was serious. She looks to them and was unsure wither to be disgusted or curious. She shrugged and she put them on. This feels like something from a movie. She couldn't put her hoof on it though. She prepares her hooves and clicks them three times, praying this will work.
As she clicked them the final time, the Fluttershy's cottage spun away around her, and she started falling through a wormhole of some kind. Through the walls of the tunnel, she could see strange exotic places, and even scenes from Equestria's past. Before long however, the wormhole disappeared, and dumped her into a poorly tended garden, just outside a very strange looking house. The house and garden were on an island of sorts, only instead of being surrounded by water, it seemed to be surrounded by a strange void; it wasn't total, as there were swirls of colour, and air to breath, but she certainly wasn't in ponyville any more...
Chrysalis then looks around and she sighs. If this place is Discord's home then, it would make sense. This place is chaotic enough looking to fit. She goes up to Discord's door and she knocks on it. She figures to be nice and not barge in on him.
Discord jumped at the sound of someone knocking on his door, and went to the window to see who it was. Chrysalis! There was no point pretending he wasn't in now, he realised, so he decided his best best would just be to play it casual. Preparing himself, he opened the door. "'Sup." He nodded casually.
Chrysalis giggles and she knows he was trying to be serious. She could see through it to some level. "Nothing much, just... wondering why you ported off at random." She says with a brow raised. She was unsure what Discord was doing or what he was hiding, but she could certainly tell he is not being himself.
Discord shrugged casually. He had butterflies in his tummy just being near her, as he spoke, a few of them escaped through his mouth. "Oh, I just felt like I had t' blow that scene, ya know? it was cramping my style." He turned and walked into his sitting room, biting his lip and trying to control himself while she couldn't see his face. Had she gotten even more beautiful? "So, uh, what brings you here?" he asked, sitting on his sofa and gesturing for her to do the same.
"Well looking for you mainly. Fluttershy said you'd be hear if you were not present in Ponyville. I even have the fruity shoes that are needed to get here." Chrysalis says taking them off. "It's unorthodoxed for sure, but I suppose it keeps the troublesome out. It makes me wonder if I should do something like that myself. Maybe make my hive harder to reach without the proper tools." Chrysalis says as she came in. She sat down thinking about it but she still noticed his behavior was till unlike him. Where did this bad boy attitude come from? He usually is much more goofier than this.
Discord coughed as Chrysalis took off the shoes; even her hooves, which he had previously found amusing due to their holeiness, now seemed to him perfect; the holes just an added another layer of loveliness to her already beautiful form... He coughed again and blushed a little as he realised he may have been staring. "What? Oh, uh... yes. Yeah, gotta have your privacy; got important stuff to do, can't be being interrupted, amiright?" He grinned nervously and tried to avoid eye contact. Ah, this was good! If he didn't look at her, the feelings went away! ...Unless he thought about her, which he didn't seem to be able to stop doing now. Dammit!
Chrysalis raised a brow at his increasingly odd behavior. This was unlike him. Something must of happened for him to be acting like this. She wasn't sure if she should be worried or curious. Maybe a bit of both,
He coughed again at Chrysalis' silence. "So, uh, can I offer you a tea? Coffee? Something stronger?" He glanced at her briefly as he asked, but blushed and had to look away again. Perhaps if he could just get out of the room; collect his thoughts...
"Truthfully. I think a little coffee would do me some good. I'm a bit worn out from the big adventure you an I had today." Chrysalis says with a small smile. She still wondered what was up with Discord though she wasn't going to push it just yet. She needed to see where this went first.
"Right, yes; coffee for the changeling, right away!" Discord said, jumping up and rushing into the kitchen. He sat at the table and shook his head, trying to pull himself together, as the coffee pot filled itself and the kettle boiled of it's own accord. This was harder than he thought; he thought he was fooling her, such were his amazing acting abilities, but it was hard work; it certainly wasn't like before, and he wasn't certain he could keep it up much longer. But if he wanted to stay friends, he had no choice, right? If he told her the truth about how he felt, he'd scare her off for good, and he didn't think he could handle that. Sighing, he loaded the coffee onto a tray, and headed back into the sitting room. "Here we go! Java El Discord!" he said, setting the tray down on the coffee table and laughing lamely, before sitting on the sofa.
Chrysalis once again raised her brow at this but sat down next to him. She went head and had her coffee. Nice and strong. Though something about Discord's behavior was still urking her. Why was he so dodgy suddenly? She wanted to ask but she knew he would try to avoid it, so she went head and quietly enjoyed her coffee.
Discord poured himself some coffee, then instantly remembered he didn't drink coffee, but it was too late now; he didn't want to look foolish, so he just sipped the bitter liquid, trying not to show his distaste. An awkward silence ensued for several minutes, before Discord asked: "So, um... you got any plans?"
Chrysalis then looks to him. "Not really. I've been thinking about and I'll be returning to my hive soon. I need to take care of some business there in anycase." She says, before taking another sip of her coffee. Feeling the heat of it course through her veins.
