http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/248586/sopa_and_pipa_what_went_wrong.html I did not have time to read the whole article, but from what i read, they killed the SOPA bill. Is it over yet?
I heard that SOPA and PIPA were stopped, but then I heard they are still gonna vote. So, I really have no clue. I just hope, they fail.
Here's an analogy. Imagine you're trying to sit down and eat your breakfast, but there's a man stood on a chair farting in your cereal. That's pretty gross, right? Of course it is, that's disgusting. You've been put off your breakfast completely. Luckily, he falls off the chair, and knocks himself unconscious. Brilliant! Now you can enjoy your cereal, although you may have to pour a new bowl. Either way, our flatulent friend is no longer an issue. Oh by the way there was another man with a gun to your head the whole time and he's about to pull the trigger, but you didn't notice him since your attention was on the weird farting dude. The first person was SOPA and PIPA. The second is ACTA.
The were never killed, SOPA is simply shelved and they keep pushing back the vote date for PIPA, but on blackout day, 18 Senators backed down from PIPA
Yes there was Viper, it's still on the first page of threads. I shall redirect this thread there and close this. http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?3082-SOPA-PIPA-Update! ~Closed~
