He kind of looks related to Vinyl Scratch/DJ-Pon3 in my opinion. Something tells me that he and the princess are perfect for one another, but somepony or natural events try to separate them, so the mane six must help. Either that, or trouble with the wedding arrangements. Or, because it's a two-parter, an evil villain tries to take over Equestria or something leaving a cliffhanger. (inb4 Lord Smooze, but I don't know.) So many possibilities....

I personally would like to see him treat Twilight like an annoying little sister. Why? Well, just to show that not everyone in the mane 6's family is nice. I would also like him to be put off by Twilight's friends.
I don't think that'll happen. His sister was given up by their parents because she is the most powerful magic user in the world. I once saw her turn her parents into inanimate objects by accident. Teasing her like that seems like a BAD idea...
I think that he's going to be all smiles and stuff, but when the time comes he could be the one who is behind everything that could go wrong. I mean, if he marries Princess Cadence, he gets control of a part of the throne am I right? So could we be getting the cliche, "Marry and then dispose of them", sort of thing. Genesis may be onto something with him being a douche to Twilight's friends, as they would no doubt accidently get in the way of his plans. Also, wouldn't your sister being sent away to the actual Princess for being a powerful magic user make him jealous of Twilight? He could have been the neglected one, and now he could be wanting more power i.e. the throne of Equestria.
I don't really see him as being jealous of her, but mainly poking fun of her love of studying and reading. Or Poke fun of the things she did before she got her cutie mark. Of course, poking fun of her could be a sign of being jealous. Hmmm...you do have a point there.
Maybe he does go crazy and try to take over the world. Although it sounds more like season premiere plot than a season finale plot. Ponies prefer to take over Equestria at the start of a season rather than the end of a season (this is what I've concluded from my pony studies). I may be wrong. Or may be it does happen. Shining Armor gets married, has only girls, goes to the pony pope, gets denied, kills St. Thomas Mare, starts the Celestian Church of Equestria. Twilight has to save the day by using science to teach him where Y chromosomes REALLY come from. ^ Totally plausible plot line.
