This thread is specifically for discussing Equestria Girls. I figured this was an easy way to divide spoiling the movie and just talking about it in general. Hopefully we can keep any further spoilers out of the other thread. Anyways, let me start off by saying that I thought this movie was fantastic. I have already watched it 3 times and will probably watch it again soon. I started enjoying it right off the bat. With Pinkie Pie being a transformer, Twilight having difficulty getting used to her wings, and the whole idea that Sunset Shimmer was Celestia's student. Kind of reminds me of Naruto and Nagato a bit. Now then, I'm sure most of us agree that the song "Helping Twilight Win the Crown" was amazing. I love the music, the lyrics, and especially the dancing. The ending to the movie could have been a little better. When it came down to it, Sunset was just incredibly jealous of Twilight. At least that's how it seemed. This movie made me dislike Snips and Snails even more. I wouldn't say they're evil, just stupid. I mean, they were even dancing to Twilight's song and were showin' some school spirit for a moment there.
I rather liked the demon-thing that Sunset Shimmer turned into. She reminded me of Demona from the Gargoyles series. Also, Transformer Pinkie made me spill my drink.
I've only seen crappy bootlegs so far. When the DVD comes out, it will be interesting to see everything that I've missed. I'm wondering if Flashlight will become a canon shipping.

All the humor matches the show so well! I mean it's the shows humor times 10! Maybe the serious moments aren't really there, I still loved it. Plus the adorable moments are so HNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
I had to settle for a video on Youtube that was shot in a theatre, but I enjoyed the film. Twilight had some pretty funny moments adapting to the human world. The song segments were pretty good, 'Helping Twilight Win the Crown' did in fact turn out to be pretty catchy! Sunset Shimmer proved to be an excellent FiM style villain. Spike's best appearance throughout the shows history, no doubt about it. Sunset Shimmers demon-like form when she puts on the crown looked awesome. The Wilhelm Scream. Equestria Girls was one film I never expected to hear it in! There wasn't nearly as mant cringey or cheesy moments as I expected. One thing possibly worth pointing out. Rainbow Dash asks "What are hands/What's a hand?" In the song 'What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me', one of Applejack's lyrics is "Could y'all give me a hand here?" I know the lyric was just an honest mistake and they don't what hands are in the show, but its just something that sprung to mind while I was watching.
I can't help but wonder if thirty "moons" refers to single nights or lunar months. Dammit, Luna! Be more specific!
Wasn't it already confirmedthat the events of Equestria Girls would not be brought up again in Season 4.

To easily describe this movie It was a great movie turned to a mere good movie by the terrible pacing and undeveloped plot points An example would be demonic Sunset Shimmer, there was little foreshadowing and explanation for such an over the top plot point. By the time we get used to Sunset becoming a demon, Sunset has already turned back into a human. If they just extended the running time of the movie. The pacing could've been fine.
One of the scenes that made me bust out laughing was the CMC on youtube. There is also the dual fourth wall Pinkie and the look on Twilight's face afterward.
