It was a bit short, but overall it went well. The major point of discussion was on our current project of creating new moderator guidelines. Infractions are planned to be removed as they’ve caused much negativity and confusion. The new guidelines will follow a ‘case-by-case’ structure to help moderators decide what actions to take. In addition we discussed some staff and administration issues, and some ideas with dealing with problematic or trouble users. Community Posts are also planned to be moved into the Announcement forum instead of blogs. If you couldn’t make it, or have any new questions, you can use this thread to post any questions or comments you wanted to share.
sorry I wasn't able to be in the chat. Midterms, Kallisti event, New episode, Band of Bronies show etc.... anyway, sounds ok for now. no specific questions or things to add for now.
Yeah, it's going to be more common sense driven than anything to avoid inhibitations that we've faced countless times in the past. Also it means we get to use common sense for once :B
Bronze them and make them into a mobile to wear on your head proudly! Nice to see that the meeting was a sucess!
I see I must have missed some news in my absence... Bah. Well, as Windy said, nice to see a success was this meeting.
Only thing I'd like some elaboration on is what was discussed regarding staff and administration issues. I'm always looking for ways to better improve myself.
I missed the chat thing, but it seems that you guys have come up with some decent ideas. Are you planning to host more of these discussions in the near/distant future?
And yeah, I never did understand why the Community Post was moved to blogs, bit out of the way there...eh. With the no infraction thing, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I have my popcorn, whether it goes well or not, time will tell.
Haha, thanks for pointing that out Poetic. :derpe: And (I think) the original reason for the CP's being moved to the blogs was because Foxy wanted to make them more personalized. Dunno.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but it sounds like some good did come out of this. I like the case-by-case move. One suggestion for the next meeting - have a staff member assigned to the meeting notes. If they write everything down as it goes ,it will be easier to summarize and get the minutes of the meeting to those of us that couldn't attend. Thanks! Sent from my EVO 4G Shift using Tapatalk 2
