There are currently 61 episodes of MLP (tomorrow it will increase to 62), and yet we only have episode discussion threads for a fraction of them. I think that is real shame; every episode deserves to have its own discussion thread. Just because an episode is old doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be discussed, or that nobody has anything to say about it anymore. I think the Episode Discussion section would be better if it was set up more in the style of the "Pokemon Anime Discussion" section of serebiiforums.com, which can be located here: http://www.serebiiforums.com/forumdisplay.php?11-Pok%E9mon-Anim%E9-Discussion As you can see, it has general threads about the show on the bottom, and three sub-forums on the top; one for spoilers and speculations, one for polls, and one for episode discussions. When you go to the Episode Discussion tab, it's split evenly between all 16 seasons of Pokemon, all the way back to episode one (as well as sections for Pokemon movies, specials like Pokemon Chronicles, and the Pikachu shorts they have in a lot of the movies). Even the episodes that are well over 10 years old still have discussion threads, because the mods acknowledge that although comments may be few and far between, it's still perfectly possible that people may want to comment on them. There are over 750 episodes of Pokemon, and every one of them has a discussion thread on that site; do you really think it would be hard or excessive to make threads for all 61 episodes of MLP on this site? Just split it up by season fr simplicity; one sub-forum for season 1, one for season 2, and one for season 3.
I'm pretty sure that there is a thread for every episode so far, but the majority of them will probably be buried under the newer threads. Archiving the official discussion thread for each episode sounds like a great idea.
Follow up post. The Episode Discussion forum will be tweaked within the week with further organization in mind. Thanks again for your suggestion.
