A dark, gloomy castle... this is your destination. You've been walking for three days by now, through the dreaded Ponyburu Forests, in search of the dreaded death lord of legend... Now, casually avoiding the thorned bushes and poison joke along the way, in a manner that can only be explained as second nature to you by now, you have almost reached this, the final destination, the place where you shall either make history, or fall amoung the ranks of the many ponyfolk before you, who fell to the wrath of the being of evil nature you now hunt. The fog, creeps away, letting the eerie glow of a full moon in all its splendour reveal a great, majestic castle, its size rivalling that of the Celestian Princesses' castle in Canterlot... Now, begins the final battle between good and evil. I wish you luck, avid roleplayers... with the information below, write your story, and create pony history! You now approach the Castle of Death. Setting camp in the forests near the castle after a good stakeout of its grounds, you place protective wards to defend your camping ground from weak monsters. Sitting near the soft, illuminating fire you have made for yourself, you now plan out your entry into the castle, using the map you had quickly drawn for options regarding your entry. There are three entrances, four if you are a pegasi... each looks dangerous, and even possibly quite grimdark in its own way. Choose your entry quite carefully, for it may change the fate of the world! Spoiler: Entry One, The Rusted Front Gate of Despair Once richly adorned with decorative imagery worn away by the passings of time, the gate now lies in disrepair, and ruin. Hesitantly, you push open the Rusted Front Gate of Despair... only to find it creaks loudly, and then falls off its higes, landing with a deadening thud on the dark, moist ground! Slowly entering the Gardens of Vegetative Demise, you turn back only in time to see the broken gate door magically return to its former position... you are locked out! A deep, menacing voice echoes from the top of the Tower of Doom, laughing maliciously at your predicament. Now, the only way to go is up... or is it? Tread carefully- these grounds are covered in vegetative matter unknown of origin, and you could almost swear you saw a parasprite... Spoiler: Entry Two, The Well of Deep Sorrow and Drinking Water You decide to venture down into the Well of Deep Sorrow and Drinking Water. Securing yourself tightly to the top of the well's foundation using your trusty Grappling Hook of Safe Landing, you then slowly climb down into the well. When you are almost down, the rope is cut, obviously by a creature of no kind intention. However, your fall is broken as you land, ungracefully, on a pile of rotting, moist hay... and accidentally distinguish your torch in the process. This path is not the easiest on the eyes, seeing as that your only light source is a faint illuminating glow from the fungi growing around the sides of the Aqueduct of No Return... Proceed with caution, for there is the sound of footsteps in the far distance, and the Aqueduct of No Return is, literally, an underground maze. Spoiler: Entry Three, Entry through the Broken Walls of the Cemetery You enter the Cemetery, cautiously scanning your surroundings for enemies and readying your hooves for the very instant you hear a sound. However, the Cemetery is obviously isolated, and probably has been so for years... judging by the condition of the coffins and crosses around you. After a brief search, you find an entrance, to an abandoned church... Here you can hear maniacal laughter, cries, and an organ playing from one of the lofts above... The back entrance behind you closes, and you can hear it door being locked. You're going to have to find the key to escape, or find your way to the god of death's chambers. Prepare for an encounter with something big... because you can hear something slowly moving towards the front entrance, and growling ferociously... Fight may not be the only answer however... there are many architectural qualities to the Church of the Ominous Organ to take advantage of! Spoiler: Entry Pegasus, Up into the Clouds and then to the Top of the Tower of Doom Hah! Foolish death god, leaving his Tower of Doom unprotected from an aerial attack! You fly valiantly through the air, and then head straight for the Tower... and smash right into a protective wall of magic. Falling downwards, you crash into... The Library of the Dammned. All around you, you can hear footsteps and the occasional menacing laugh... Flying back is not an option, however. Your wings took the brunt force of your fall- now you can barely fly, and shall require attention from a Doctor when you return from your quest. Stand and fight, or find a way to avoid combat... the choice is yours. The choice is yours, brave bronies! To fight, or to fall... here is the place, to narrate your story so it may be chronicled... Please, no excessively grimdark content however... I did put mildly grimdark on the title afterall XD ~Thanapony the Death God
SilverWind had fallen into a library. Wounded but alerted, She looked around for a way out, but before that she had to be unheard and unseen, she carefully diverted attention by making the curtains fly away from her, misleading her enemies
Doodleman was cautious of the sighting surrounding him. He wanted to fly off ground, but the spooky aura emitting from the castle prevented him from doing that. As he was advancing, he started to discard all possible enemies in the area, from common pony-eating plants to ferocious lion tiger lilies, and hoping that the parasprite didnt appear. He colored himself with black and proceeded to enter the castle. (i hope i can still enter, and if im meddling ill get it.)
Crimson Star, the cunning strategist he was, chose to come around in an unexpected route for a sneak attack on the death god. But as he entered the decrepit church, the door slammed shut behind him. A trap! he thought. I should have known! At the sound of something heavy on the approach, his ears perked up. The growl emanating from the darkness, and growing louder, made him uneasy, as he gently scraped his hoof on the ground in front of him. He analyzed his surroundings, trying to come up with a plan. His first thought was to stick to the shadows, and there seemed to be plenty of those. The building, though old and abandoned, still stood strong, and had a cathedral ceiling. When facing a stronger force who has you trapped, you must make yourself scarce, and fool the enemy into losing your trail. He thought. Moving quickly over to a small pile of rubble near the wall, Cromson ducked behind it, and shuffled some of the larger pieces over his form, before he fell pron, waiting for the large creature to enter. (Do we have any equipment from other RPs we might have joined?)
(*shrug*) Meanwhile, Silver had misdirected the guards, she sneaked around the castle, wary not to be seen, when she saw Doodleman at the entrance. She slowly went up to him, knowing he wasn't an enemy
Doodleman was about to enter the castle, until he felt a presence, a very friendly one. He turned around to see SilverWind coming up to him. he thought "Well, if she can see me, then that must mean she is an ally. normally nopony sees me while Im black". He rubs off the invisibility off of him, waiting to see what she had to say.
"we have to find a way in"she was very desperate to get inside when the pain in her wing tightened, she heard the thundering of footsteps "come on! We have to go!" she dashes into a corridor and makes an illusion to fool the guards
As Johnn fell onto the pile of rotten hay, extinguishing his torch in the process of doing so, quickly was back on his feet and alert after noticing how where he was. "Great, stuck in another mess again" thought the nopony to himself. "Better start getting on outta here". He set out following the ominous glow of the fungi growing in the well when he started hearing the faint sound of footsteps, as if they were following him. He was quick to act and started making his way to that brightest fungi there and quickly proclaimed, "Who's there?!" When no answer was given, the colt just gave a heavy sigh and said, "oughta keep on going, rather than letting whatever could be following me get me". He proceeded along the dimly lit path again, wondering when he'll see the glorious moon once more. (i'll add more later, have a story and such set for this, but i iz r sleepy xD)
He follow SilverWind inside of the corrider, while looking at the wing she had damaged. He though of a spell that might heal her wing, but running and thinking was a hard combination. one of the guards nearly saw him, and he quickly drew a decoy to distract him, while following the injured pegasus.
(alicorn) She found a broom cupboard and decided to stay there, thinking of a way she can heal her wing, the least she could do was wrap it with cloth, looking at Doodleman she asked him "hey.. Do you know and healing spells? Sorry if i didn't introuduce myself, i'm Silverwind" she added
"Names Doodleman, and well I think one can work. Just hold steady.". Concentrating, he went through a mental list to find an adequate spell to heal her wing. Muttering he said "Healus" and a faint blue mist emitted from his horn, healing any damage the two ponies had. "I think that worked, hows the wing?"
"thanks" she flapped her wings slowly "it works again" all of a sudden the door of the closet slammed behind them "oh no.." she tried to unlock the door doing everything she could hopelessly "it's locked" she used her horn to make it brighter for them to see, her light revealed a round staircase leading underground "lets go down" she walked slowly down the stairs, the light coming from her horn the only light source they have
While following SilverWind, he thought "I have a horrid felling that we are being watched, but from where?" While walking down the stairs he nearly fell, but he recovered fast. "Hey, let me help a bit with the lights." He summoned a small plant, shaped like a lantern into his head. "This little fella will illuminate more a bit the place". While the darkness consumed by the plant, there were weird marks in the walls, closely resembling claw marks. "I think I dont want to know who made those. Lets keep going."
"yea... I bet something bad might be at the end..." she keot walking down the staircase, every step they took, a faint growling sound grew clearer "and we better make it fast.."
They finally reached the end of the staircase only to meet a door. He pushed it to see where it leads into....a dining room? He and SilverWind entered the dining room. It was just like any other dining room in a spooky castle. Chanderlears, large table, various chairs and... wait.......is that what he think he saw? Up in the fireplace stood a statue, but this was no ordinary statue. He took a closer look, "GAAAAHHHH!!!!!" was the only thing he said while backing up, scared. It was a stuffed pony! It had still its armor on and he was sure it wasn't a doll all its life! "Okay, whoever did this must be the creature who was making those sounds before!"
From the shadows then emerges a pony, gray in color and his hair a dark purple, his wings unfurled in full as he stood before the others who had entered into the dining hall. "Hi there. I'm Trollie Pie. I'm looking for some cupcakes. Have you seen them?" he asked.
"wow!" he was shocked to see the pegasus emerge from the shadows. regaining his breath he said, "Names Doodleman, and no sorry havent seen no cupcakes around. Why? Where they stolen from you?"
(just find a route that you want to start through. outside comments are in parenthesis, though, remember that!)
"Yes, the cupcakes were stolen from me. It was by a strange mouse-like creature that ran into the west wing of the castle." said Trollie Pie. "Would you care to join me on my search for baked goodies?" he then asked.
