    ...but who has the worst?

From Gaga to Beiber, Lord of the Rings to D&D, everywhere you look you find obsessed fans.
From Star Trek to Star Wars to Stargate, they will defend their chosen universe to the death, leaving behind reason and sanity.

Of the hundreds of fandoms that exist, who do YOU dislike the most?

Hmm, well I like all of those things, except Gaga and Beiber. But yeah closest I've been to being in one of those fandoms is D&D. I just played it with some local people though and read some novels and comics based on it. I stopped being into it because I found that D&D was just too slow and boring to play, I was mostly in it to make friends.

I'm not sure if I can think of a fandom I hate, in fact I might even say I hate certain sects of Bronies the most. In particular the white knights who try to have everything in the fandom be appropriate for children and will attack people who enjoy a bit of darkness in pony fanwork. Then there is also a whole fandom focused on just being anti-brony in general. I hate those people and I also have a lot of hate towards 4chan in general and find a lot of the words they throw around as insults, such as Autism to be highly offensive.

Outside of this fandom, I suppose I dislike any stupid untalented stuff that becomes popular, like Ray William Johnson and Beiber. While like a hundred channels I'm subscribed to with less then 1000 subscribers make 10 time better content. But I don't go around trolling those people, If you care that much about what other people like, then you are worse then those people.

I have no problem with the commonly hated on fandoms like furry or sonic, because they do nothing to bother me, so I don't care.

    The Sonic Fanbase.

Oh god, do I hate the Sonic fanbase. And this is coming from a fan of said series.

I've never really seen the Sonic Fanbase, despite the fact I love the Sonic games (Apart from the horrifically terrible ones- I'm lookin' at you, Black Knight) But I've heard it has a pretty horrific fandom.

However, I've not really got anything against any fandom in particular...

I also have some hatred for the Fighting Game Community.

There's a boatload of elitists who won't give a game a chance because its an "Anime Fighter", or it's "Not Street Fighter".

One of the worst fanbases I have taken part in was the Super Smash Bros. Melee fandom. Oh god, I hated everyone. As of right now I'm only part of the Naruto fandom aside from the Brony community. I've never seen a more immature bunch of cretins.

Twilight. Oh, sweet Celestia, how I loathe that series.
The only thing worse than the books and movies is the fanbase.

I swear, if I see one more 'Team Edward' or 'Team Jacob' shirt,
I'm going to bucking LOSE IT.

Those moments when you wish you both had Blade and the Belmont Clan on speed dial.

I have not read one letter or watched one second of anything involving Twilight, but I already know it's bad. Another group of fans I hate are PewDiePie fans. How does one enjoy someone who sounds exactly like Nails On Chalkboard?

    No, I'm serious...someone tell me.

I find his random sense of humour quite funny thank you very much.

But otherwise, I haven't really got anything negative to say about any fandoms, I haven't had any negative experience either, so..yeah.

I feel your pain. As an FGC member, I apologize for how elitist we are. It's absolutely terrible how many people deny games because they 'Aren't Hype' or 'Aren't Marvel or Street Fighter'.

Does that make it any more right to shove ponies into a completely unrelated discussion? That's pretty much exactly why we have a bad name on both the internet and real life. We (Most of us, anyways) never keeps our mouths shut when they need to be about the show.

Doesn't matter if it's the best thing in the world or not, I wouldn't want someone shoving a bible into a conversation about... Harley Davidsons or something. So we shouldn't do that with Ponies either.

I fully understand that Bronies are ridiculed, hated, and shunned by the online community at large.
I just thought it might be amusing to *temporarily* set aside the love and tolerance, and make fun of the other trolls under the bridge.

You paint with broad strokes. As happens in most, if not all fandoms, the minorties of the fandom are the loudest. With smaller numbers, they have to scream to be heard. Unfortunately, this also makes them the most visible to people not of the fandom. This does not make them the majority.

I suspect most people in any fandom are normal guys and girls that like whatever they like. They just aren't seen because they aren't loud about it. Most of us don't want attention.

I'll use myself in real life as an example here. I wear polo shirts for work and have the MLP ones from Welovefine. I wear them to work. I don't announce it or make everyone look. If someone asks, I tell them about it. That's it. The number of problems I've run into? Zero. I have met people that recognize them and made some friends too because of it.

The short of it, for any fandom - just like what you like. You don't have to scream and yell about it. In fact, most of us don't.

I initially wasn't going to say anything, given the topic of the thread I think it's best leaving things like this alone, but after observing what's being said I feel I should throw in my two cents.

No fandom is better than another, and no fandom is worse.

It all comes down to personal taste, for example, where fans of the Twilight series absolutely go nuts for it, bronies go absolutely nuts for ponies. Therefore, it is unfair to say which is better when both are doing the exact same thing, just with a different form of entertainment. If you were a Twilight fan, you'd defend it as to however much extent you defend ponies at the moment. Let them have their fun, as long as they're not harming people or spreading hate, there's no need to try and stop them from what they're doing or interested in.

You get those "loud minorities" of fans, and it's much like the news/media. Bad news sells more than good news because it's more controversial and starts more debates. Same thing here, if a brony shoves an adult toy into a pony plushie then it gets spotlighted and spread everywhere for how bad it is, whereas the several upon several pieces of amazing art produced everyday goes largely un-noticed by a wide part of the community.

In the end it all comes down to the individual. I'm a part of the MLP fandom, but I've chosen to be a part of the community. They're two different things. I don't make a big deal out of it, I just watch a TV show, collect some merch, post some art and talk about it with friends every now and again. No-one who watches the show should be forced to become a part of the community, that's their choice, watching the show doesn't instantly make you a brony. And this applies to all fandoms. The normal, gets on with life fan will more often than not go un-noticed, whereas the fans who shove it down people's throats and do horrible things will get spotlighted much much more.

There's no, completely good fandom, or completely bad fandom, if a person's an *******, they're an *******, that doesn't have anything to do with their choice of entertainment.

We're a very lucky community in that a lot of people who are interested in the show happen to be good at producing music and making art, but that doesn't make us superior to any other fandom, who very may well be the same i.e. the Homestuck fandom has some amazing stuff going on in it's community.

I'm just me, I don't feel as if it's needed to be branded as a brony, yet I don't reject it all the same.
