First things first: *Sushi, noun, "A Japanese dish consisting of small balls or rolls of vinegar-flavored cold cooked rice served with a garnish"; Sushi means rice, not fish Now that we cleared that up, what is your favorite type! (now is when you can say fish, or even something else that's not fish, lol) I'm a vegetarian, so what I like are maki rolls with lots of veggies. I think by far my favorite tho are sweet-potato rolls; they're so good! Pictured: cucumber/avocado maki and tempura sweet potato maki.
Can we also discuss sashimi? There are few things in the world tastier than freshly caught salmon eaten raw. Just ask a bear.
I'm deathly allergic to all forms of Sea Food. That means no lobster, no sushi, no anything for me. D:
I tried it once and it wasn't bad but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I never ate it again. That was also the same day I tried wasabi for the first time.
but... sushi isn't sea food... did you even read my post lol - - Auto Merge - - oh no xD yeah it's pretty hot
I've only had it prepared, nigiri and maki. I don't really have a preference between the two I have a soft spot for unagi (freshwater eel) I like the way wasabi burns my nose. not really a sushi experiance without it I love sashimi as well salmon was the first kind I ever had
I appreciate NOT eating sushi, since I don't really care for it. So yes, I have indeed tried many different kinds of sushi, but it just doesn't suit my tastes. I'd much rather enjoy a two-piece halibut and chips dinner. ^_^
I used to work at a sushi restaurant. (Shocker, an asian girl at a Sushi Bar & Steakhouse!) I love a good soft shelled crab tempura roll, or eel avocado. (Both cooked, so don't look so unhappy.)
I love sushi with tempura shrimp. And hot sauce. Lots of hot sauce. Oooooh baby. [Muffled drooling noises in the distance]
Ive tried my hand at several Japanese dishes (nikudon, katsudon, onigiri, etc) but I think I've only ever had sushi maybe once or twice in my life and I didn't know or care enough at the time to remember what it was lol. Although I'm a pretty big fan of Nori, rice and seafood so I'm all for it. :derpe:
A Japanese restaurant recently opened up near me and I do occasionally go for their sushi bar. I honestly have no friggin' idea what I'm eating, all I know is that it is gorgeous!
